I don't think I could live with an air freshener in my car. No garbage and I don't smoke so it pretty much always smells the same...like raw fuel (O/R H).

I don't do air fresheners. I just keep my car clean, don't drink, and don't smoke in it.

Some cars keep the 'new smell' better. My '10 Taurus still smells brand new. My '08 Fusion and the Mustang lost the smell in a few months. They both had the mini-perf leather and the Taurus doesn't... so I can't help but think that's a factor.

I saw a woman in her mid 50's leaving a tanning salon (she was orange) and get into her 2011 GT500 convertible, light a cigarette (with the top up) and not open the windows at all....

i drove behind her for a couple miles and i almost cried

She doesn't deserve that!

Dealer "Cleaning"

My 2006 GT will never see an air freshener.
My Used 2007 was "cleaned" at the dealership.
Having worked in the car business, I HATE that smell they use.
I HAD to buy something right away.(Of course, most people said, "it smells nice")
I first bought spray and used it every other day.
Once the worst of the "cleaning" had dissipated, I looked all over for a solid.
I chose "little tree" leather as being the least offensive.
After 6 months, I am about to stop using it. The "cleaning" smell is gone.

really the best way to make your car smell nice is to get some vinyl, leather , platice and general surface cleaning products and clean the car and it will smell nice. Do NOT get the all in ones they suck.

I don't use any air freshner either. I love that new car smell. Any product out there will give me that or help me prolong that smell?
