16" wheels on GT

I am looking into a winter wheel/tire setup for my 2010 gt. I was wondering if anyone knew for sure if the 16" wheels from a v6 mustang would fit the gt? Im sure they will work on the back but the front is questionable. Thanks for any input.

brakes will be an issue of clearance. i dont think the new setup is small enough for the 16's from what ive seen they are tight on 17's. bolt pattern should be the same. still wont help that. also the turning radius could be affected with something catching that you dont see behind the wheel.

Looks like I found a good deal on 16" wheels from a 2005-2009 V6. I need to make a move really fast. Anyone find out for certain regarding the clearance? Were the 2005-2009 GTs offered with factory 16" wheels? If so these may fit the 2010 and 2011 V6 because the calipers are from the previous GTs.

2005-09 GT's were never offered with a 16" wheel, the smallest was 17".

Unless the wheels are free I wouldn't do it.

The next problem after getting the 16's is finding a proper height tire to go with them.

Find some take off 17" or 18" wheels, you will be much better off.
