After market rims/balance issue. Help!

I posted a few days ago about my TIS 20 inch wheels, which came on my car from the dealer. I purchased my 2012 V6 last week, and I have had a hell of a time trying to get the wheels balanced. The last round, the tire shop got it close to perfect, but there is still a vibration.

The TIS wheels came on the DUB editions last year, and I called ROUSH; they said there have to be weights on the front sidewall, in addition to inside weights.

Anyone else have similar experiences with aftermarket wheels?

Anyone have slight vibrations in the seats and wheel? To me, that isn't normal.

You guys who made the suggestions in my previous post, I appreciate it. I went to a tire shop, and they checked everything, etc. Roush told me that the only way to balance them properly is to use the front/back weight combination.

I am really upset with my dealer at this point. I am running around doing all this. They are paying for it, but they sold me a car with wheels that apparently can only be balanced by a handful of people (with proper knowledge).

I have sent for the balancing specs from Roush, so I can take them to a tire shop. Hopefully my balance saga will end soon.... I love how the wheels look.

I missed the other thread, but did they take the lock washer off of one of the studs that holds the brake rotor on for the assembly line?

Why are you talking to Roush about all of this?

I had problems getting the tires balanced after changing wheels on my car and was pointed to using a shop that had a Hunter Road Force balance machine. It runs the tire under load, instead of just spinning it, and that really made a difference. After 2 failed attempts at the dealer, going to the Road Force shop solved the problem. They have a link on their website where you can find places in your area using one of their machines.

Another thing to check, I had aftermarket wheels put on a car once and they had to add "hub rings" as the diameter of the hole in the wheel was just slightly larger than the hub on the car where the wheel sits..another thing to maybe check????

I was talking to Roush because they used my exact wheels on their special Dub editions in 2011. They balanced the wheels properly.

are you 100% sure its the rims causing the issue. does the vibration go away when you put your stock wheels on? I know a few people have mistook the dual mass flywheel for a unbalanced tire... even though a off balance tire should get worse as you accelerate and the flywheel only happens when engine braking from 3000-2000rpms...

As well another thing to look at is maybe one of the tires have separated as these will cause all sorts of vibrations depending on the severity of it. I know we had this issue once when I worked at a suburu dealership, almost the exact same story as yours only factory rims. We even inspected the tire and found nothing wrong with it but the customer came back a few weeks later and the tire was clearly separated then. replaced the rubber and all was well...
