6 Grueling MONTHS LATER! Finally got my 2012 GT!! - watch!!

Many of us are getting 2013 so this thread wont last long, I wouldnt post any video if it wasn't for this problem lol

Car got here Friday, as soon as it got there the passenger door won't open normally after unlocking both doors.

Today I decided to make a video about it and share.

After filming this video I sat inside for the time time today and copied my phonebook and since then the horn feedback would only go off once not twice like prior to filming.

Im taking delivery tomorrow, I've been visiting my car for 2 days, the manager didnt even mind me taking the key fob home. but i need answer before I go about this door!

The other minor issues I have are
1. iPhone 4 phonebook contacts not copying completely,
2. navi stuck in a loop "downloading phonebook"
3. After pressing info to cycle through, trunk ajar msg seen when its tightly shut.
4. Txt read back not supported on iphone 4.

any help is much appreciated.

I got your pM. That passenger door is not behaving correctly. Should open right up after being unlocked.

Nice car!

My Navi works fine with my iPhone. It is well documented iPhone texting not supported with Sync.

The txt read using an Apple iPhone is not currently supported by Sync.

So.....the car has not left the dealers and there are issues....and you ask what to do....

Don't accept the car until all works correct.....it is new and under warranty so let them fix it.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the car. It's a beaut. Don't worry, they'll get everything fixed. I'm like AzPete, as hard as it will be I would leave it there until they do get it ready.

Something isn't right because your horn is beeping twice when u lock it. That usually means you have an open door or something. Or it's just not reading something correctly

That's a good point. Electrical/electronic issues (if that's what's going on) can be very persistent.

It's not even just that, there seems to be multiple things wrong just on the surface, who knows whats not put together properly underneath. Apparently this was made the day after st patricks day or whatever other holiday the workers get smashed and come in with massive hangovers. That car would be the last thing I would purchase.

I agree don't buy it. You don't want to start out with problems that you knew about before you bought it. There's plenty of 12's on dealer lots

Stop triple clicking to lock the car. Press lock once to lock it, press lock again to activate alarm. No need to click it another time. When you go to unlock it same thing, press unlock once, then press unlock again. It should be no problem. If it is a problem and does not open they will rest the ECU (which you can do yourself by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for 15 minutes) Hope this helps. Enjoy your car when you get it and stay safe.

I'm happy to hear that everything is up and running as it should! For future SYNC or navigation-related questions, feel free to give me a shout.
