I think Boomer's point is that moving forward, Ford wants their cars to lose weight across the board. That's why we won't see a 6.2L "Boss" under the hood of the Mustang, especially when the 5.0L is supposedly just as potent of a package. It's also the reason the GT500 is rumored to be receiving an AL-block Condor come MY 2011.
I don't understand why people want to attack our sole source of inside information.
I think Boomer's point is that moving forward, Ford wants their cars to lose weight across the board. Yeah, I think Boomer and the other in the know people here are great, it's awesome being able to keep hope alive for another fantastic V8 powered Mustang before the EVs and California take over the world. Also good to know Ford has people in it who care about us enthusiasts.

I am wondering if anything about the 5.0 will really be revealed at the LA Auto Show. I say this because of the recent AutoWeek article, which says at the end "Ford plans to show the 2011 Mustang V6 this week at the Los Angeles auto show. Upgrades are also in store for the Mustang GT, which Ford plans to introduce in January at the Detroit auto show."

Take it from a native Californian--we don't want to take over the world. We just want the state back the way it was when I was a kid. There were V8 Mustangs all over the place then where Priuses roam today. Many of the problems being caused in our state are from outsiders who arrive with a holier-than-thou attitude. They want green this and green that while living in housing that covers what used to be open space. My $.02 for the day.

That does strike at the heart of the matter. 
My Dad always said Californians were touchy about where they came from, I thought it was his usual hyperbole. Wow what a pot to stir!
