Good Day !

My 2014 gt shows 50 miles to empty even above 3/4 full. The Trip AB counter seems fine when I checked the fuel used vs the distance travelled. The car rarely goes out in my garage these days, but I i start the engine weekly/every other week mostly on idle and few forwards and reverse around the driveway. Does the error come from that habit ? Thank you very much for your inputs and time to read this.

I would also suggest following Kevin's recommendation, knowing he has over 38+years of experience as a retired Ford dealership parts manager... If trying the Techron solution doesn't help resolve the issue? then I would suggest connecting an OBDII hand-held scanner to search for trouble codes, as it could very well be a faulty counter sensor connection as well...

 

I've probably sold about as much Techron as anyone. My uncle owned a Chevron station from the mid 60s to mid 2000s. Worked there from 14 thru highschool and into college. He hammered the up sell, talk them into taking a Chevron credit card and sell them a bottle of Techron.
I still stand by it. Never saw anything that led me to believe that it wasn't a really good product, same with Chevron gas. Of course I remember pumping leaded gas there too.
