dmhines, ditto to that last post. I like the 12 better than the 13 for the same reasons. I think manufacturers make changes so people can recognize a car as new even if it's essentially unchanged. A change isn't necessarily an improvement. The ugly tail light treatment and front end, while admittedly subjective, are examples.

 

From reading this post I may be the only person in North America with a 2013 Mustang. That's pretty cool.

 

More exclusivity and beauty for us then. I think they're gorgeous. I'm lucky; everything came together in the same year for me. Best GT500 in history, great looks, enough money to afford it...heheh.

2013 has the Track Apps display/feature. Any exterior appearance arguments are thus rendered invalid.

And I have a 2012 that I am "stuck" with. Oh well, the 2012 is still purty good even without the track apps.

 

Track apps are only on the 2013 premiums. So not everyone will have them.

 

I cant say people are really hating on the 12 or are jealous or whatever 13 orderers say about 10-12 owners. It's just opinion. My 12 was totaled but i was lookin at another 12 (GT500) but the dealers changed the price we had agreed on last minute. The 12 body style and rear is so sexy. I have a 13 on order but I still agree, my 2012 looked better up front. I had a boss valence and splitter and saleen grille. It looked very aggressive and sexy. I'm not 100% in love with the '13 front but the track pack, track apps and DIB did it for me. So I must also agree, 10-12 looked better. I'm sure when I get it though it will be better in person. After seeing the commercial it has grown on me a lot.

 

I like the '13 front end...............only on the GT500 and the Boss 302.

It looks bad with fog lights and the crap they put in there for the V6.

 

Since we are just sharing opinions here, I will share mine. The 10 to 12 shape is better. Just not feeling the 13 front and rear. Sorry.

 

I think the 2013 looks better in pictures with medium to darker paint colors, while the 2010-12 looks better in brighter or lighter colors.

 

I been seeing these cars for a while now. They are all over dearborn. The rear end is pretty nice, much cleaner than my 12'. But the front is just too heavy for anytjing but the shelby. The shlny can rock it because it just has so much horsepower. But somehow it just makes the auto base v6 look wimpier. I hate most of the 2013 wheels, except the updated finish on the laguna wheels. The main thing i will regret not getting with my 12 is those track apps. They just seem like theyd be fun. I think overall the 13 is a nice update, but there is a reason i bougjt mine and didnt wait for that car

 

The 13 finally looks complete, front and back....finally has some nice lines.

Only reason why I'm purchasing the ragtop, the front looking like the Shelby is just beautiful and complete. The rear is also nice and complete .... The 10-12 always looked just chopped to me as an after thought the 09 looks better than the 10-12 , but hey , we are all entitled to our likes and dislikes....

I will agree, I don't understand those fog lights on the gt take away from the looks Abit....but on all years....those fog lights gotta go, or they outta bring them down like the Shelby.

I like them both. Cant complain about either. Choose the 13 because the timing was right and I like the graphics for the Boss better than the 12's. The perfect '13 Boss would have been in Competition Orange though.

Will say one thing, that V6 with that red is hideous to me. Must be the grill......

The 69 and 70 had some major appearance changes actually. They cleaned and removed a bunch of things for the 70. Those are my favorites though. 70 then 69.

Tough to debate opinion. Personally, I wasnt feeling the 10-12 look when it dropped but now I prefer it over 05-09. Really disliked the 13 grille surround at first, but already prefer it now and actually like the fogs with it because they have a stealthy, almost hidden look IMHO. Plus I think its another step towards a more modern look. I think the protruding grille only looks good in some colors though, which is why I chose GB.

Like most of the 12 front & rear bumpers but none of the 13s except the GT500 & the Boss. Will probably get a 12 style rear though b/c I dont like the license plate surround. The 13 GT hood is my favorite so far, just over the 12 (not considering GT500s) and the new tail lights are sweet.

So as far as looks go, my tastes have changed over time but are now divided between 12 & 13. Buying a 13 for the TrackApps but if not for those would have taken either and borrowed from the other.

 

Seems like everyone doesn't like one thing or other on the 13. Most people changed some thing about the stock front end on their 10-12 too. (grill , front fascia). I'm sure there will be plenty of options for the 13 in no time!

 

If you guys think the 2013 looks bad, wait for 2015, I honestly think that car's gonna be a train wreck.
