Question for you Boardkat:
Have you installled the stripe over the clear bra ? Because I have seen a couple of cars with mat stripes and when they put the clear bra over it changes the finish on the stripes and it looks a bit weird (makes them shinny and change the tint)
Thanks

This was something I considered, and ultimately decided I wanted the consistent matte black look, so I put them on top of the clear bra. Apparently, this made it exponentially harder for my installer (3M vinyl has VERY adhesive properties), and it took him a few attempts to get it right, but the end result is exactly what I expected!

The 850 hp is excessive anyhow. A few mods like a supercharger and an aluminator will get you to a more streetable 780-800 hp.

You’re welcome! It’s already on the move.
LOL!! Thanks, wanted33. Glad she’s loving the ride. Her opinion is the one that counts.
LOL!
It’s soooooo pretty!!! Congrats again, boardkat.
I’ll send you that info once it gets a build date, steven46746.
All the dates are subject to change, Lethalchem. There’s no lying during the build/shipping process.
Awwwe! Thanks, BluehazeGT.
Awesome! I’ll send you some more info in a little while.
Yup, it’s already in there, Masterminter.

Hi folks, since this sticky started out with my thread way back in March, I thought I would give you an update on how the car is doing.
For those who don't know the car, it's a GT Premium Vert., 5.0, Auto.
With a whopping 3000 miles (delivered in May) on the car it has settled into approx 18 mpg city, and 28 highway. No oil used. The trans has been great, shifts are quick and solid. Car rides great, with no interior problems. With only two minor problems with the passenger door (replaced the door handle mech., and the pony projector in the mirror) the Wifey has been extremely happy with the car.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Deysha is da bomb.

Expel has a special matte package for stripes, my installer told me. I think I will have expel put on.Besides, the installer is at the Ferrari Dealer! How fun would it be to take the GT500 there! Was quoted 675 for the front so not terrible.
When my car was delivered, there was also a SG GT unloaded from the truck. WOW! I did not realize just how much metal flake is in that paint. It looked AWESOME in the sun and the wheels matched nicely.
