Why can't the Recaros be bolted to the power tracks?

I am not 100% certain, but it seems like the seat base for the Recaro is lower than the regular seat, even if the adjustment mechanism is the same.

Cadillac offers them as an option on their CTS models. And they have both heating and cooling functions.

Even their Recaros look uglier. GM sucks!

I read through the whole thread and there has been little discussion about V6.

Anyone else notice ...

* Temporary Spare Tire is back as STD. for US spec V6 ... was not even an OPTION on 2011-12 (except for Fleet sales).
* Leather Wrapped Steering wheel w/ Audio Controls is now std. on base V6/GT models !!

Ford must have heard our complaints.

One ouch though ...
* The stand-alone "3.31:1 axle option" for V6 Coupe is gone and is now only available with the Performance Package ... this was a pretty popular option, could have just been omitted accidentally or maybe not.

Also, the Track Apps is included with all Premium models including V6 ... I assumed it was going to be a GT / Boss 302 / GT500 only feature.

I can never figure out why the Brick Red interior wasn't available with either Dark Candy Apple Red (JV) or Red Candy (RZ).

Those seats, from everyone who has sat in them, don't fit 90% of the population who buy that car. Every reviewer said if your waist isn't 32/34"" or less you won't fit in them. The sides are too snug. Its why alot of CTS-Vs sitting on lots don't have them as options.

This isn't the case, GB and the new green are the only exterior colors not available with saddle leather so it's not a production cost issue.

And you never could order GB with saddle so there never were any past orders for that combo to coerce Ford into offering it now.

So, Ford can't offer heating/cooling/power on these seats because too many Cadillac owners have fat butts?

Did I say that? My post only was about the seats that were pictured. Don't take it out of context.

I agree with you, they should be heated and power, but they aren't. There has to be a reason for it, I just don't have the answer.

I have a 38" waist and fit in them fine.

my best guess is that heated + powered recaros would probably double the price. turning a 1500 option to a 3000 option. I mean we dont even have power seatbacks.

Recaro makes many different seats. The Caddie seat is seriously intended for their core customer who has a wider rump. Do we really want a power., heated Recaro in a Mustang?

I could honestly car less about having heated and powered recaros or seats for that matter. My biggest question is how comfortable they will be for long trips. Me and my gf are fairly skinny so i kno well fit but comfort is EVERYTHING. Ive never sat in a recaro seat and id really like to try one out b4 i order but i have kno idea where i can find one.

I'd be willing to bet you could put the two together with a little time and effort. For the heater, you'd have to cut a recess in and run the wiring out, but the power track might just fit the bottom side. Still waiting to see the GT Recaros before deciding if they're worth looking at. The 05-09 owners were able to swap from manual to power seats.

Hey Brian, post your ZIP code in a reply (or PM it to me, whichever is easier). I can do a search of your area to see if any dealer has any Boss 302s with the Recaro seats near you. Then you can drive there and ask them if you can just sit in the car to see if you want the Recaro seat option for a 2013 order. They should let you sit in the car.

I drove my car for to bring it home 600 miles the day I bought it. Very comfortable seats.
