is the lower rear diffuser (where the exhaust holes are) a separate piece from the whole bumper or is it an entire mold?

When I looked over a 2013 Mustang this weekend I noticed it is painted under the glossy black piece on the trunk lid. I was wondering if it is easily removable or if you are ordering a 2013 you can ask the factory to delete it?

I would rather have the paint than the glossy tail panel. That would make it perfect in my opinion.

Thoughts??

Someone wrote that it's held on by screws & tabs so there would be holes in the trunk if you try to remove it.. and there's no way to order it deleted.
You would have to have a body shop weld and paint it, or replace the trunk with a '10-'12

That's because it IS sick. Big, bad, and beautiful. When it gets tested in a few months, it will be THE #1 performance car for the money. Only a handful of bad-*** cars under $120k will be able to hang with it (Z06, ZR1, GTR, & ZL1). And the Shelby will look the best - inside and out, sound the best, and be among the best. Period.
Ps: Scott - I'm with you, I do not like black-out between the taillights, never have. And the 2013 glossy one I like even less. Personal taste, I'm sure millions will love it.

This is what I was wondering also. It looks like it is body color, and part of the bumper, but I can't tell. I really like the look of the black diffuser on the Boss and would hope that the body color could be swapped out for a different diffuser with minimal effort. If it is part of the bumper, that would be a bummer. Does anyone know for certain if this is the case??

Pretty sure that the black diffuser goes right over it.
Kevin is looking into it but we won't know for sure till they're out.

I'm thinking one piece. You can't get reverse sensing on the cs which I believe has the same style rear bumper as the boss??

I've been looking through these threads, and just saw the thread (can't remember which one, so I'm posting on this one lol), on the 2013 rims.

Please don't tell me the MCA package really gets darker versions of the Pony Packages rims...they're horrendous...

Random question, but do any of you folks know if the Black Boss will be available for both "base" and LS or just LS?

Thanks!

So have we found out yet if the rear lower diffuser on the CS just pops right onto the standard GT rear fascia?
