On The new Corvette Z06's I know that there's a solenoid that opens it up on WOT. I know the boss 302 had a removable plate to open up the exhaust. You can also put plates in to quiet it up. I prefer a "unflapped" LOUD exhaust, so I'm glad they did not put solenoids or valves

Look at those gorgeous pics, thank you for posting, FiveOBrian. As you can all see, the classic Mustang rear does NOT have black-out between the taillights. And I think that look is great, just like the stock 2010-2012. You get to see the car's true paint color (or stripes) between the taillights, and I like that look so much better.

Those are not my favorite Stangs for sure, but I would not turn them down. Exhaust just doesn't look right.
I with the guys that like the black-out for the 2013 rears. Do not like on 2005-09's, but since 2010 they've needed something to help them and now they've found it.
I'm going to the Indy Auto Show tomorrow and can't wait to check out the new Stang.
Just my opinion.

Enjoy that show, please take some pics, post, and let me know. Would love to see them. Thanks!
Oh, and I'm adding in a pic of the rear of my 2011 GT Premium, look at that lovely Race Red color in back, with no black-out in the way...I'm just sayin!

Hi. To TheBeast - no on my car, the 'black' appearance on the edges of my taillights is just a shadow from the picture, it is stock. To FiveOhBrian - thanks for more great pics, those look good. However, To Cinque35 - while the older Mach 1 are gorgeous, the '79-'99 don't do much for me. That's another awesome feature of being a Mustang fan, so many great variations!

Really? The 2013 front end is the main reason why I am looking into ordering one. I think it's a HUGE inprovement over the 2012.
And also love the black between the taillights. Had black on my my 72 Mach 1.

I guess that's the beauty of art, its purely perceptive. I for one do not like the 2013 GT grille, to me it seems too soft and girly. But its my opinion and others are free to have their own.
