2013 Hood Vents - anyone have suggestions for diverting water away from Engine bay?

Anyone with 2013 come up with a way to divert water away from the engine bay when washing your car or sitting in the rain? I love the vents and functionality but wish Ford had a better way to get the water down and out of the engine area.
ANyone with suggestions or ideas, photos would be appreciated.

How much water gets into the engine compartment? I don't have my car yet so can't make too many suggestions.

Not much. It diverts it to areas that won't hurt anything. Just use as an opportunity to detail your engine.

It's not dangerous unless you're running an open CAI.

Been driving mine since May. Wash it nearly every weekend and she's been in her fair share of rain. No problems. The amount of water that gets in is really negligible. Unless like others have said if you're running a CAI and even then nobody has really had any problems I know of and many of the CAI companies are coming out with various shields and stuff.

Totally agree with you & I'm running JLT CAI and not a single problem!

I've driven mine in heavy rain and had no problems.

That having been said, I haven't done that in a while ... the Focus gets driven if there's even a remote chance of rain ... lol
