2013 GT500/Boss LS Nurburgring times

Anyone know if ford intends to attack the ring and post some hot times? I'd like to see how these two awesome machine match up on the famous ring.

Believe I read Ford took the 2013 GT500 to the ring, but looks like they kept the number for themselves. Must likely they couldn't beat or match ZL1 times.

What about the 200+ mph top speed and the final straight? That's a loooong straight to make up plenty of time lost on the corners. What's the ZL1 top out at?

Here's the testing report: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...burgring-video
Videos of it there: http://youtu.be/kqx0YzQEATI

Corvette ZR1 tops out around 205 MPH.

And there is no what in hell that a GT500 is going to make up so much ground on that one straight that it will make up for coming up lacking through the 112 corners.

To Moustang, ZL1 not ZR1. The question was for the Camaro not the Corvette.

the boss beat 2011 M3 on Laguna Seca by 2 seconds, I don't see how a 13' GT500 can't beat a ZL1 on Nuburgring.

Factors to consider:
1) Nuburgring has more turns than Laguna but bigger with more straight too
2) Mustang is lighter and more agile and more hp
3) ZL1 is abit fatter but has nice suspension system. but its magnetic suspension is good only because it's a compromise to provide good daily driving experience as well; on the track you dont need that kind of compromise.

I gathered this from Mototrend's testing: ZL1 is can enter the corners faster and generate higher G, but GT500 accelerate out of the corner a bit quicker; as Mototrend said they ZL1 generate higher G but both cars always come out of the corner the same. So i dont think ZL1 is actually quicker than GT500 in the corners, they are about the same.

GT500 has weaker brakes that might mess it up after so many turns. They should be pretty close anyhow.

Sorry, my bad.

Anyways, I think I know the real reason why there is no Nurburgring time for the GT500.

I watched the video of this at the New York auto show a couple months ago. Can't remember if it was the GT500 or if they reported times, but I sat and watched the final 2 thirds of the track through the final straight. It was a video from a camera mounted somewhere on the passenger side (can't remember exactly where).

I do remember thinking that I wanted a 2013 Mustang from watching the video. It was pretty cool...
