2012 Sync mic location
Hey guys, is the Sync microphone for 2012 located in the ceiling console that holds the map lights? I have two little holes at the front edge of that which sort of look like they could be mcrophones, but I thought that the mics were in the mirror (it was on my F150 anyway...).
Thanks,
Andrew

The holes in the upper console are sonar transducers for the security system. They detect cabin intrusions. Quite well.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!

The mic is located in the mirror for convertible mustangs and in the headliner for the other models.
Let me know if you have any additional questions![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

You're correct. I thoroughly researched this and confirmed it, with one of my warranty buddies. The mic is in the mirror for 2012 models, regardless of the body style. In the past they've put them in both locations. Sorry for any confusion.

Continue to "yell at her" through the mirror
LOL! Seriously though, are you having voice recognition concerns?

I'm having a different problem - when driving at >35mph and in a call, the other party's voice will cut out >80% of the time, and the other party (generally, my wife) will tell me that all she can hear is massive wind/road noise on my end, and that's why I can't hear her - since phone calls are half-duplex, when I'm transmitting, I can't receive.
This happens even when the A/C is down very low, and the windows are rolled up. It's very frustrating - it's not that loud in the car, but the mic seems to insist on amplifying that.
