I would not be sure either if I were to owe over sixty five BILLION dollars.

An automatic with launch control would go a long way to helping the car hook up. Today's automatics are so good you could put your grandmother in an CTS-V and she'd be smoking everyone at the drag strip.
So once again I will say....the GT500 will never reach it's full potential as long as it has only a 6 speed manual in it. Now I'm not saying they should put an auto in it and I wouldn't want to see one in the car, but the reality is that automatics rule the world of performance cars.

People who purchase Automatics in a Sports/muscle car are a different breed....Not saying its a bad thing...just not for me.
Give me some better tires and call it a day

"If it hooks up" if the operative question. I've NEVER been beat by a GT500 at either of our local dragstrips as they just don't launch well enough. Sure, it's entertaining to watch the tirespin and fishtailing, and they sure are gaining on me hard as the 1/4 mile stripe approaches, but I still beat them to the traps every time. Bring a GT500 to the dragstrip with drag radials and/or mods, and I have to be on my guard (and I would possibly lose).
The factory really needs to figure out a way to harness all the power the GT500 produces if it's gonna compete successfully with the Z28 and CTS-V.

Any news on when dealers will be able to submit the orders? I just ordered a 2012 Mustang GT Premium in Lava Red with those new seats and 3.55 final drive ratio, and Manual Transmission. Any updates will be greatly appreciated.

Here's what a stock 2011 GT500 can do with proper rear tires at the track.

GM did make a profit the first 2 quarter of this year, although I am not sure it would qualify as out of the woods yet.

Does anyone have the Dealer Cost verses the MSRP? I see them each year but havent seen them here yet. Any pictures of the 2012 yet? Probably not much of a change on the outside but I would think there would be some at a Car Show or something now that the order banks are open.

The difference on the 2011 was approximately $4,500.
