Hello,

Just looking for opinions on how to get more HP outta my car. I put on CAI but that's about it. How can I get say 40 50 more HP? What's the biggest bang for the buck? I would love to drop in a supercharger but I don't have 5-7k laying around.
Not sure I want to get too crazy though.

I know there's Boss 302 manifolds and bigger throttle bodies but I'm not sure what that gets me. Some say a good tune but I'm not sure if that's the way to go.

Does your CAI have a tune? The tune will net you some good HP ... then you can add the manifold down the road.

my suggestion/thinking on mods: do it for fun; but don't expect any particular gain, and never calculate HP/$, and then you won't be disappointed . . . and always take the marketing claims as the extreme best case result; "your mileage may vary" and almost always will be lower

you can scan the threads in this forum to get some ideas on what are the most popular mods, intake and tune is usually number one

 

Without a tune, your CAI is doing basically nothing. The stock intake on your car is really efficient as is. TJ's suggestions are a good place to start.

 

I will take TJ's comments a little further, if the CAI did not require a tune it did not help much, biggest thing is run Premium, 10HP right off the bat. Tuner helps but even on the claims of the tuners 10 HP is gained from running premium gas.
