Only reason why I partially agree is because (and this is just my opinion) suspension kits should be purchased based on defined goals. Are you a weekend warrior? Do you just want looks? Are you actually road racing your car in a competitive setting?

The FRPP handling pack is a very basic entry-level kit that I actually thought about purchasing. The adjustability feature is more than just a gimic, but do you really need it? Will you actually be able to safely adjust the damper to optimal road conditions and driving intent? $200 is nothing to sneeze at. If you plan to go weekend racing, you'd get more for your money by buying a non-adjustable setup that is pre-tuned for the spring length+rate and using the money saved for a 4-link kit (Watts). Driver mods would be more beneficial at that stage than being able to adjust the damper.

Have you thought about a basic tuned shock and strut set?

You could get the above kit and then spend the money saved on removing the rear wheel hop. If you do plan to race, you'll need custom valved racing shocks with reservoirs like the Vorshlag Mustang. It might be better to get the cheaper kit now to reduce the dive and squat, ride it out for 100k, and save the money for a full race setup later.

In the end it's what you want and the above parameters are just my personal thought processes.
You make a great point about intended use. I did some research here and settled on the frpp pack. I was just on the fence about the extra money for the adjustable. I have driven mostly European cars and never really bought adjustable suspension. As far as use, I was I use it as a daily driver. I live in So Cal. This means that winters don't really exist for me. Currently I take my car up to the canyons to blow of some steam on the weekends. I would like to take my car on track in the future. Even at that, it would probably be a twice a year kind of thing. I am a teacher and can't afford to race regularly. I am not really a drag race kinda guy.

Your car looks amazing. You may have pushed me back to undecided on the springs. I like the more level look of your car. Does anyone know f a place that sells the FRPP handling pick with these springs or would I have to buy the kit and sell the extra springs after?

thanks Rich, check out latemodelrestoration.com They seem to have an 'ala carte' setup of FRPP suspension products. Choose springs/shocks/struts etc. Or just give them a call and see what they can do for you..

I gave $1400 for mine, delivered, but I had to add $100 worth of stuff to get the order over $1500 to get free shipping.

Someone chimed in on my install thread and said he got it from Tousley for $1300 delivered. Can't locate with a part # on their site (M-FR3-MGTAA) but worth a call.

However, I also ended up installing a set of $350 caster/camber plates because both ended up out of wack, and also a $150 adj panhard bar, although I only needed to scooch ~ 3/16" back towards the psgr side and with a 1" drop many will just live with the rear mis-align. The plates gave me headache's as well (one stud stripped) but even with the extra time/expense, it's well worth it.

How far did you drop? I don't think that setup drops enough to require c/c plates.

1".

Ended up w/-1.4/-1.7 degrees of camber and trashed my PZeroNeros after 600 miles running like that (they already had ~ 20 k on them, though). Caster was inverted from desirable. Details all in my linked thread. Your mileage may vary.

I'd read many threads on various forums prior to purchase, and consensus was to expect exactly what I got, although I'd hoped it'd be at the lower end and even.

Some said they live with it and track the car to get more even wear. Some go with camber bolts, a version of which was in fact included with the kit (all hardware was, btw). They weren't camber bolts, but offset welded washer that required slotting out the lower strut mount holes.

I could've used them and lived with the out of whack camber but chose not to.

Initially didn't buy the plates and tore down the front a second time to install after trashing the Perillis.

Obviously different vehicles, but on my SN95, lowered with Eibach Pro-kit (hated these springs, but it was my first lowered car) I ran -1.5* on purpose. I tried 0, -1 and -2... -1.5* was perfect for handling/turn-in and I never experienced any bad wear on any of the 3 sets of (Generals, Falkens and BFGs on now) tires I ran with them. And I drive pretty hard.

You are the only person that replied with the non adjustable set up. With the 1.5 drop, Do you have a lot of issues with ride or the evil speed bumps?

I am sure I am getting annoying by now but I have read somethings about alignment issues on lowering a mustang on this site that have me scared. I had decided on the Ford Racing Handling pack with the "P" springs and an adj panhard bar. I can't really afford the buy a bunch more parts other than the kit and panhard bar.
My other option is the 55d rear springs and Koni yellows and maybe the Ford Racing sway bars.

If anyone could share with me their experiences with the Ford Racing Handing pack and an adj panhard bar without other parts for alignment, I would appreciate it.

Best advice I can give is that you need to purchase parts that go along with your goals/wishes. Some people run a certain set up and love it. Others run the same exact thing and hate it. It's all on you to decide and fine tune things from there. Based on reading this thread, if I were you, I'd get the adjustable handling pack along with a panhard bar. Also, pick up some camber bolts and call it a day. After the installation, get your alignment re-done and enjoy.
