Interesting. It mentions two new colors for 2011, neither of which is Yellow Blaze.

V6 Holds 6 quarts of oil per the Owners Manual, that extra quart helps increase oil change intervals ... 8 Quarts like the 5.0L would be even better though.

So, the people who pre-ordered 2011 V6's didn't have an option for the performance pack?

Just curious -- anyone know why this isn't available with the convertible six?

I believe that is correct. Best they could do was order 3.31 gears and upgrade the wheels/tires.

Correct. As I recall, this was announced at the same time the performance package for the V6 was announced. It was always going to be late availability unfortunately.

Personally, I'm looking forward to getting mine without the performance package because those wheels are hideous, IMO. Besides, if I don't like the handling, I'll just slap on some Eibachs and some Steeda sway bars.

What the hell is the tire mobility kit?

The PP with sport apparence package looks great, I prefer pay for bettet handling and brakes that exterior apparence only like MCA or Pony pkg.

It's an inflator kit that replaces the spare tire. If you use the inflator, you'll need to replace the tire pressure sensor afterward.

That's only if you use the sealant ... you can run the pump as just an air pump too.

Best bet would be to keep a good quality "tire plug kit" in the car as any puncture repairable with the slime sealant should be repairable with a plug. That way, you don't trash a sensor or the balance of the tire. If done right (and does not leak afterward) it could be considered good enough for normal driving until you get a chance to take it into your preffered service garage. Let them decide if your emerency plug job is good enough ... ideally it should be replaced with an internal patch (or plug & patch combo) for safety and peace of mind.

I'd still like a spare tire though, as the only time I've used one in the past 16 years was at night in light snow and tire was too far damaged for the sealant or a plug.

Last week i bought a nice plug kit with T-handles, Craftsman needle nose pliers (to pull out nails, screws etc.) and a new 6' X 8' tarp (to lay on). Within the past year i have repaired two flat tires without removing the wheel from the car, the plugs have never leaked. I'll use the air pump included with the car to air up the fixed tire.

So if and when i have a flat tire, i'll pull over to a safe area and fix it while the wheel is still on the car.
