Overboost, I know you said it's a comfortable ride. Would you say the ride is as comfortable and quiet as a 2010 GT? How does the extra sound deadening do for drowning out tire noise?

 

You can barely see them but it looks like it has the satin black MCA stripes on the sides ... yes ??

350Z note.... YUCK! No offense! My MOST HATED exhaust note are those things, the Inifiniti Gs, and the Infiniti crossovers. Horrible hollow, tin can drone.

Nissan have the worst sounding motors I have ever heard. Ford usually has the best followed by Chevy.

 

This was a 'vert, so the car seemed quieter, but you still have inherent road noise coming through the top.

That was what I could best liken it to. I actually thought it sounded great outside the car, but just "blah" from inside. I'm sure an aftermarket exhaust would really do this thing justice.

 

is this with "performance package" (what does that include)?

im asking,because on http://www.ford.ca/app/fo/en/cars/mustang.do i dont see option for V6 performance package (only pony package)

do see a "performance package" for cdn GT

 

Last I read the Performance Package is a "late availability" option due next summer, at least in the US.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate you posting on this Overboost. I ordered a hardtop version of this on Saturday morning. Here's what I got for those who are interested.

2011 Premium V6
203A MCA Package
Black/Charcoal
6 sp M/T
3.31 Rear End
Security Package
HID Headlights

I think I'm going to go crazy before it actually shows up...

 

This one had HIDs, Security pkg, MCA pkg, electronics pkg, and was a Premium trim. Very nice car.

The perf. pkg isn't going to hit dealers til late July-early August.

 

Have you heard one or the other about the Recaros for the Perf Pack?

 

the one drove is with a performance package or basic V6. I am planning to order a V6 premium.

 

I am curious if anybody has a base v6 on order with 3.31 gears and the MT? Seems like a lot of bang for the buck to me. I would be interested in hearing the reviews when the time comes.

 

Maybe we should have a thread where people list out what they have on order. Could even be a sticky. I think there is a thread like this in the 2010+ Shelby forums. Might be an occasionally useful thread to reference when someone wants to find out about a particular combo.

 

I have a v6 premium manual on order with the 3.31's.

 

I'd bet that most who read this forum would order the 3.31's unless they are looking for that high MPG number.

I'll be interested in seeing what the performance difference turns out to be between the 2.73 and 3.31 gears.

 

Thanks for the review Overboost, let me know if you need a co-pilot for the GT. When is that GT review suppose to happen, i guess not before the mags publish their stuff.
