2011 V6 Impressions
Well, I got to take a 2011 V6 out for a spin yesterday. I have a pic, just haven't had time to edit it yet and upload it (gotta protect the innocent). Here's a summary of my impressions:
- EPAS provides plenty of feedback for spirited driving, which was a big concern of mine initially.
- Chassis seems more nimble (I drove a V6 Vert)
- Exhaust note outside of the car is VERY similar to a 350Z exhaust note
-Transmission is very quick in response, and allows you to get going smoothly and pull nice and strong through the gears
- Car pulls hard to 7k rpms no problem
Cons:
- exhaust note inside the car is a bit cheesy
- placement of the overdrive off button on the shifter stalk was bad IMO
Anyone who ordered a V6 will not be disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised and had two friends who were seriously considering a V6 walk away with the intention of buying one. I've also driven the Camaro and Challenger V6 models, and this one feels best on its feet, more capable, and more comfortable for a cruise than either of those.
