Well I have NO CLUE how but the dealer a few miles from my house has a 2011 V-6 on the ground.

How do I know, its my mothers.

Delivery is at 2pm tommorow I will post pictures by 6pm.


After work (4:30am) I swung by my parents house and picked up my Dad and went to see the car myself because I did not belive him. Sure enough it is siting outside prep in the service lot.

The dealer ordered her unit for stock and as well as her normal order in an effort to get her a car sooner. Only the unit that was ordered for stock has shown up yet.

Note: we did NOT pull strings to make this happen, we were just letting this play out.

That's the weird part. I haven't heard that the green light was given. The storage lot is still swamped!!
I'll be making some calls today to find out how this car got here.

Is today the day she gets the car? Your post was from today and it says tomorrow will be delivery. I would be standing at the dealers door and detail it myself.

I have read in several previous post that some of the 6 cylinders are already in the fleets of rental car dealers.......Maybe they were released prior to the QC hold?

Yeah but thats a v-6, ford will sell more v-6's then v-8's so they got them out early....the question is where are the v8's?

I was told the hold started last week. For the April 17 Deliveries shipping would have to have started at least a week before that. Every car that Ive heard got out was reported to be a 3.7 Automatic.

Stinger can you comment on this?

There's no hold. It was all just a ploy to light up the phone lines at Ford in an attempt to boost their call center volume before reporting statistics to the head office in order to justify a ton of jobs.

Anyway, I am going to go with no, since the lot is still full of cars being held. I have a call in to a few people trying to figure out how this car got here (its the only one the dealer has and they had 8 V-6's ordered)
