2011 Mustang GT: Actual Weight
Just weighed my 2011 Mustang GT Base (300A) w/ Manual 6-Speed.
Only Option is 3.55 Gears. This is not a Spoiler Delete Car.
Dry Shipping Weight (MSO): 3461 lb
Curb Weight - Light (3 gal of Fuel): 3520 lb
Weight Distr: 1920 lb (54.5%) F / 1600 lb (45.5%) R
Curb Weight - Full (16 gal of Fuel): 3600 lb
Weight Distr: 1940 lb (53.9%) F / 1660 lb (46.1%) R
That was on a Certified Scale that weighs individual axles and total seperately.
Should be accurate +/- 10 lb.

3600 is dead on with Fords claim of 3605.

With a driver- say 175lbs tho, that weight distribution will be 56% front 44% rear... Which isn't outlandish but, I'd like to see that improved in the next gen...
Thanks for the good numbers tho!

Yes, that includes the Jack and Spare (Spare is Aluminum). Everything that was in the car when it was delivered including Owners Manual and Floor Mats.

In 2005 the Premium Package added 19 lb and IUP (Now included in Premium) added 2 lb.
In 2005 all GT's came with Power Drivers Seat. In 2011 the GT Base has Manual.
So 21 lb + the Power Driver's Seat (6 lb?) so Im going to guess about 27 lb more.
Im thinking I saw a published figure somewhere and it was 3633 lb (or 28 lb more) but Im not positive.
PS I wish I could get the complete AAM/AIAM MVMS Form for 2011 Mustang like I have for the 2005. Then I could tell you exactly what each option adds and how it would effect weight distribution.

For reference, I had my car corner scale weighed. The weight was 3555 lbs., 50.00% cross. That is for a convertible with nothing in the trunk, no jack, board, or side panels. With side airbag seats, manual transmission, 8 gallons of fuel, top down. 52.0% front 48.0% rear.

I think if you get the brembo package you get a can of fix a flat and a pump. The other GT's do get a donut spare Im pretty sure. Has something to do with the donut not fitting over the bigger brakes. Someone will come along and correct me if Im wrong Im sure. With that said, I thought the V6 stangs got a donut also??

My 2011 V-6 doesn't have a spare tire or jack. Just the pump. A spare isn't even offered as an pay extra for option. I don't know why. I have the standard brakes, just a V-6 Premium with the Pony Package.

Not trying to be a smart *** here but you didnt get a can of fix a flat either or what ever Ford calls it? Do the brembo GTs get a jack? Why do non brembo GTs get a donut spare and the V6 models dont? I dont understand the logic unless it is to cut every single lb out of it for mileage. I should also mention cost too I guess to meet a price point especially on the base model V6. I saw my first V6 tonight and never thought to even ask about it. My dealer has no GTs and only 1 V6 stang.

I know your not being a smart ***. I'm confused about the 'no spare' for the V-6 too. I don't have 'Brembo Brakes'. I have 18 inch Pony Package wheels that are the same size that come on the standard G.T.
I read somewhere the 'no spare' on the V-6 was to save weight for better gas mileage. I don't think 35-40 pounds weight savings is going to do very much LOL!!!

Even my '04 V6 had a spare tire and jack. I use the jack to change the oil, and I once actually had to use that spare. Hit something sharp and metal while I was pulling off along side of the road once and it left a three inch gash in the side wall of one of my tires. I'm not sure Fix-a-Flat would have done me any good in that situation.
My next question: If there's no spare tire on certain models, and these models all use the same body style, what's sitting in place of the spare? Is it just empty space? Those things aren't exactly tiny.

For reference sake, the base 2011 GT that Car and Driver tested weighed 3580 lbs (they weigh the cars they test themselves), this was actual curb weight on a very limited option GT, I believe all it had was the Brembo package, spoiler delete and 3.73 gears as options.
The '11 premium GT Motortrend tested came in at 3620 lbs and was pretty loaded out with the electronics package, Brembo package and more with an MSRP of $39,750.
For comparison sake, my 2008 Premium GT with only 3.55 gears and spoiler delete as options weighs 3490 lbs on my corner scales (true curb weight with full tank of gas, spare tire, etc, and no driver).
