It would be nice if it was a tag that could be changed in a handheld... OR.... have a manual overide button (like traction control)

That crank looks awfully similar to the forged one that we offer for the 4.6, and also looks like a variant on the 4.6 design itself. I'll just wait until they release short block details

Cool

Nice horsepower with variable fuel - good.

Skip-shift - nope

"Composite" (plastic) intake manifold - never

Current body design - MUST CHANGE

Bottom line; Power sounds impressive but I won't be buying one with any 1 or more of the issues above.

He assured me that there was no way that the EPA would ever allow skip shift again as a way to bolster MPG on paper and that GM was only able to offer it as they were grandfathered into it since the EPA banned it after GM started using it. Basically, the EPA knew it was a sham since it only worked a very light throttle and lower speeds. Give it moderate throttle or shift at higher speeds and it was bypassed. Plus, aftermarket tuning was very simple to defeat it, so the EPA supposedly said "never again."

So, I'm VERY surpised to hear there's been a change in policy on the subject.

The GM spec sheet says "premium recommended but not required" (or something to that effect).

Modern LS ECM's have an adaptive fuel strategy and knock sensors. You can run whatever fuel you like.

For 4,951cc that is impressive HP to say the least at 83.2 hp per liter compared to the camaro at 69.1 hp per liter with there 6.2L V-8. That being said I was hoping for better mileage than the Camaro especially considering the cars considerably bigger engine and added weight. I wouldn't have thought with the 275 lb. weight loss between the Camaro and Mustang and the smaller engine with less hp getting 25 mpg from the manual or 26 mpg from the auto would have been that hard.

For this supposedly modern design it looks an awful lot like the 69-70 mustang with 67-68 cues thrown in for good measure. You must not like the 69-70 mustang then.

I owned a 69 S-code Mach 1. That is my favorite year.

No, IMO it looks nothing like a 69-70 at all, especially with it's Camaro hood.

Hahaha, i love when people post complaints about a car with a "Ransom" list of things that must be fixed before they'll buy the car... i'm sure Ford will get right on it!

Call me ignorant, because I am, but what is "Skip Shift"? Sounds like it jumps two gears instead of one on slow accelerations? That's just out of context in this post. I really have no idea.

Solenoid in the trans that blocks the shift linkage from engaging 2nd and makes it glide right into forth. Computer controlled.

WOW, okay the hood is more 84gt, but the rest of the car is scary similiar to the 69-70. Look at the side profile, it is **** near identical with the exception of the the wraparound taillights again very similiar to the Camaro.
