How is this thing TTA??
http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/t...sification.pdf

Base
Ford Mustang GT ('11) TTB 3770

20 thru 39 points - Up ONE Class
40 thru 59 points - Up TWO Classes

Non-DOT-approved racing slicks +30 (of any origin—re-caps and re-treads are not permitted)

E. SUSPENSION:
3) Non-BTM or modified/re-valved shocks/struts/dampers +3 (all others) (springs not included)
5) Non-BTM or modified coil springs, leaf springs/spacers/brackets, or torsion bars +2
7) Add, replace, remove, or modify anti-roll bars (“sway” bars—front, rear, or both) or end links—may have spherical joints
on the end links and/or relocation of the mounting points without additional points assessment) +2
9) Replace or modify control arms (other than plates, shims, slots, or eccentric bolts/bushings for simple camber/caster
adjustment only) or RWD/AWD rear trailing arms (may have spherical/metallic joint for the connection to the
spindle/knuckle) +4
18) Bump steer kits or shimming of the steering rack +2
21) Replace or modify a BTM panhard rod or Watt’s link (may have spherical joints without an additional points
assessment) +2

That doesn't even count the cats, mufflers, and aero stuff.

Is that TTA label false? Are you in TTS on those slicks, but TTA on street tires? Or do those tires not count as slicks, but instead as DOT Rs?

1) The following DOT-approved R-compound tires: BFG R1, Goodyear Eagle RS AC (auto-cross), Hankook Z214 (C90 &
C91 compounds only), Hoosier A6 +13
2) DOT-approved R-compound tires with a UTQG treadwear rating of 40 or less (examples: Goodyear Eagle RS,
Hankook Z214 (C71, C70, C51, C50), Hoosier R6, Kumho V710, etc. --note: G.A.C.& VRL Hoosiers OK) +10

Inquiring minds wanna know...

Conti Slicks = G.A.C. = Grand Am Continentals = +10, not +30

when I am at the track the car is truely TTA legal at all times. i am constantly changing things on my car so this list is only a snapshot of right now.

When I am on A6's I am pointed out to the max of TTA

Hmmm

Are there 265 Contis?? I can't get to 275s with +10 spent for the compound. And where do you get them from?? I'm looking at 285 Ventus RS3s currently, but haven't bought them yet.

275 I normally run R6 was on take offs for recon and was fast enough to win. The R6's were in the truck but didn't need them. Saving the A6's for nationals

So if GAC is the Grand Am Contis, whats a VRL Hoosier?

Is there any way someone not connected with the series can get the Conti scrubs?

Thanks, I still have much to improve upon from that lap. I have been reviewing the footage with some driver coaches and I plan to be much quicker come NASA Nationals in Sept (you never stop learning though)

I honselty didnt panic, all I could think of when I saw the viper across the track was "DONT HIT HIS DRIVER DOOR" I was at max turn in when I came around the bend. Going right wouldnt work cause there is a wall back there. So I lifted to give the front end some bite and figured I would either put two feet in and spin or slide but then I stopped thinking and reflexes took over and I drove it out.......
