Howdy, I was just wondering if anyone has ordered a 2013 mustang GT recently and is waiting as I am for a vin # or delivery date or anything to calm my nerves!
I was told 4-6 weeks by dealer. "I know, they always say that right."

Order date April 14
As of today May 22 not a word yet and the anxiety is keeping me up nights.
Just want to here someone took delivery in 6 weeks to make me calm down (a little).
I will keep you posted as well!!
GT Premium, Blk/Blk, 6MT, many options including Electronics Pack and Shaker PRO audio...

Expect another 3-4 weeks to be added to what you were told, at minimum.

 

I ordered earlier than you (3/20/12) so it probably doesn't apply anymore, but my GT/CS took 5 weeks.

 

Also FWIW, I had my VIN# by 4/4/12 and the car was finished on 4/14. Have you PM'd Deysha with your Order# and Dealer name? She's usually very busy but still the best for getting info.

 

I ordered after you did (4/20) and received my VIN the following week. I'd call your dealer ASAP and figure out what's going on. They should have some info for you by now if your order was picked up.

You can always contact Deysha (Ford Customer Service Rep on the forums) as well if you have your dealer code and order code (should have been given to you when you ordered or when you received your DORA).

Estimated delivery to dealer is 6/14/2012

 

If your car was actually ordered and accepted, you would have a VIN. I had mine within a week of placing my order. Other dealers will take your info and order when they get allocation, which can add substantial time to your order. You need to get a straight answer from your dealer or be ready to walk.

I ordered mine about a week after you and deysha said it was done building last week and should be awaiting shipment pretty soon! So hopefully yours is on the way already!

LOL yeah the plant is about 30min from me. Wonder if they'll put yours on rail or truck

 

hey guys, i ordered 5/11, but im still waiting on info, my salesman called today said theyre waiting on for ford to pick up the order, he said probably by friday, but is been 10 days already and im starting to worry maybe they dont have any allocation, you guys seem like your getting pretty quick turn around

It'll come by rail to Florida and then put on a truck. According to my dealer its 10 days from the time the train actually starts moving till it shows up at dealer. My 2010 showed up.... but at the wrong dealer!!! Took 5 days to find it. by then the dealer that received it... had prepped it, tinted the windows and used it for demo rides until they were contacted they received the wrong car...

 

Holy crap!!! Did they give you anything at all extra or take anything off the price? That is so wrong.

 

One of the benefits of living in southeast MI; your car gets here in 2-3 days.

 

Back in 1995 I ordered my Escort GT from Jack Demmer literally across the street at the time where it was made and still paid the $500 destination charge lol

 

You could buy a Mustang at Crest and pay the same. It just makes it fair for everyone in the long run. Although I wouldn't waste my time there.

 

It helped in North Central Ohio too!

 

How long does it typically take from day of order to receive a VIN#? I I ordered mine on 5/15.

Maybe the question should be how long does it take from when the dealer actually places the order? Let's say they did so on 5/15, will Ford process and accept it that day or is there a delay after the order is placed?
