2011 GT Mustang beats Lotus and Porsche on track
I figured a headline like that would grab your attention 
First weekend of competition with the car in NASA's Time Trial Class A (Best lap time wins but lots of cars on track at once).
This is Mid-Ohio's "Club Course" meaning it has the chicane after turn 1.
I have lots of room to improve myself (the driver) and take some time out of the lap.
This weekend I was competing against a prepared Lotus Exige S240 and a prepared Porsche Cayman S.
The car was prepared by Rehagen Racing and I would like to thank my sponsor Ford Motor Company for allowing me the ability to go out and do this.
The second lap of this video was shaping up to be better than the first but the corner worker in turn 12 didn't wave the caution flag for the Viper who spun and was in the middle of the racing line. I just wanted to not hit him in the driver door and ended up with an embarrassingly big tank slapper.
FYI: the splitter on my front fascia was not installed properly that’s why its flexing this has been fixed.
I uploaded an HD copy so turn up the quality and go full screen if you're so inclinded.
I used an HPDE session for shakedown on Saturday and its was soaking, a little sideways here!

275/35-18 Conitential Extreme Contact Dry
Its a race slick that is used in Grand Am and is not sold to the general public
I got these as scrubs frok Rehagen. They are not as sticky as a Hoosier A6 but they are pretty much the same-ish as the R6 and they are legal in NASA

Shaun that was great, thanks so much for sharing the video. I would LOVE to make a trek to VIR to do this (I am maybe 3 hours away), but lack the R-compound/race tires and Brembos. Right now, anyway.
Two of my favorite videos right now are the Corvette Z06 and Corvette ZR1 lapping the 'Ring in Michelin Pilot Cup Sport tires - it's such a RUSH watching and almost feeling the acceleration of those mighty cars. Your video created much the same rush!
PS - I shared this thread with my wife who said, "that's YOUR car", which I took as a big compliment!

Thanks for all the kind words guys.
I am running a full season with NASA and will be running at the Nation Championships in September at Mud Ohio as well and I will post stuff from every event on here
