Any word yet on what new colors are being added for 2011 and what's being removed?

 

All I've heard is that Race Red will replace Torch Red.

 

Any idea on how racing red differs from racing red? More orange, darker red, more metallic?

 

I haven't seen it yet. I've just heard about the change.

 

My hope is that it's darker and metallic.

 

I'd prefer it to be a little organger, but either way I bet it will be raceier

 

To me, Torch Red was orangey.

I did some searching for Race Red to see if this color already existed in the Ford line-up, and found that our own Five Oh Brian posted the colors on StangNet. The other color so far is Ingot Silver.

 

There is "sunburn" red on Ford's website for the 2011 Fiesta...wonder if this is the same as racing red. The sunburn red looks good on the website.

 

Fiesta has some unique colors. I checked it out on the website, almost looks like it could be called Grabber Red on a Mustang! Add some black stripes?

Sunset Gold was a 2010-only color as I recall. No clue what it'll be replaced with...

 

Orange Peel is THE worst name for a paint color.

Lol Sunburn, Hurricane and Tornado aren't much better. What were they thinking??

 

Some VP in marketing probably heard that Mini has a few playful sounding names for paint colors, and took it to the nth degree. You'd think somebody in engineering would have stopped orange peel, at the least. Imagine the howls from the automotive press if they get an orange peel colored car with orange peel in the paint job.

 

how about a nice green color like lets say "Grabber Green"!!!! Anyone??? And how about bringing back some interior colors from the '60's like blue and green to replace these morbid grays and beige and charcoal! How about just a pure blacker than black interior as well! Maybe a white interior for thos convertables like the Fox cars!?? any comments here?? I'd like to hear what the forum mebers think about Ford spicing the interior colors and options, like carbom fiber, up???

 

I'm bettin' that when it is finalized, and we see the list, yet again, I'll be able to say:

I am with HOUTEX , still nothing like Emberglo! Who chooses the color palate at ford anyway!? I know some read these forums, but do they ever listen to what we are saying??
