I think VMR is the only wheel distributor that I can think of that actually has an exact replica of the P40's, but like I had mentioned in my other post the bolt pattern will not work on a Ford without some customizing. Post of the info of the distributor when you know, I would love to have a set in the price is competitive.
Here's a pic for the lazy,LOL.
Those are HRE P40's they run about $4500 a set, you can get something very similar with the Forgestars and they only run about $1400 a set. The first RTR cars I saw had the Forgestars, but now they have the much more expensive HRE's.
A pic with the HRE center cap still on..
The Forgestars are light at around 22lbs for the front and 24lbs for the rear in a 19X9 and 19X10 setup. They aren't forged but they are flow formed which is close to the strength of a forged wheel but still very light.
Here they are on a 997S in titanium.

On a side note I did manage to find a set that I actually love.
I came across these rare beauties in mint condition without a scratch on any of them. The deal was way to good to pass up, plus I hadn't seem a staggered set for sale in Months. The front are 18x8.5 and weigh 19lbs and the rears are 18x10's and weigh 20lbs. This is actually my second set. :P
Yes I'm going to do a little wheel whoring of my BBS RK's now sorry for the Cr4ppy shots 2MP camera-phone.
BBS RK 18x8.5 when they fist arrived it was raining so I had to do some indoor shots.
18x10 on the left and 18x8.5 on the right.

Mmmm RKs. Tell me why I saw a set on a 1st gen Mistubishi Outlander yesterday! I was a little surprised, but it had 6000k HIDs and yellow fogs. Probably a guy who used to have an Evo and had kids .

I did a little bit of investigating a few months back when I was looking at purchasing a new set of wheels and I came up with some good info ---->LINK

I also looked at a set of Forgestar F14's in an 18x10 for the fronts and 18x11 for the rear, Shipped they came out to $1350, not a bad price considering the 18's weight is under 20lbs each. The only problem was that I just didn't like the design of the wheels. I think the spokes are to close to each on the F14's VS. the VMR wheels which are a bit more spread out.

I like the VMR wheels, they are usually for BMW E46 and E9X series vehicles. I actually love the F14's..I would definitely consider a set when I get my car. As far as the BBS's going to a 8.5" wheel up front is counter to what I wanted to accomplish which is actually going to a wider front and rear wheel.

Now, if Forgestar where to come out with a VMR/P40 rep wheel at the same weight and also offset customizable like the F14’s.I would have a set right now.
Originally I was looking to go wide up front but the deal was way too good on the RK’s to pass up so I bit the bullet.
But most definitely my next set will be wide up front and back, it’s just hard finding good quality wheels that have great looks without breaking the bank.

Maybe if I physically see a set of F14’s on a Mustang it may just change my mind about them. They are probably too nice to put on a Mustang anyway..J/K…

BTW, I am convinced that the first RTR cars I saw were on Forgestars.

Actually the Forgestars are lighter than the VMR's. VMR got their start by building a replica BMW CSL wheel for E46 M3's. Also, the VMR's offsets are totally BMW offsets and I don't think they will build out for the Mustang. The Forgestar wheels can be had in various offsets to accomodate a lot of different cars. Only downfall (not a big one) is they aren't hubcentric due to the multitude of hubs they need to fit and require a hubcentric ring.

True the VMR’s won’t work on a Mustang because of the bolt pattern at least without some customization which I believe I had mentioned in my previous post. Now as far as the offset goes, I disagree, the VMR V710 in a 19x9.5 with a 33mm offset will work on the Mustang.
This is the first RTR car with HRE P40's VS the other wheel in question.
See the difference?
VS,
P40
VMR V710

The RTR is the exact same style as the VMR 710.
RTR wheels are the only way to get that wheel with the CORRECT bolt pattern and back spacing.
The first batch of RTR production wheels should be at the shop this week. I will share how/ where to buy when that is finalized
