2010 VIDEO IS UP!!!!!! and is REVEALED
and i got prettymuch casterated a few pages back for saying id take my 98 over this thing lookswise...sorry to say Ford dropped teh ball big time...challenger looks sexier and sexier every day now with this hunk of crap out ...but dont get me wrong...i like some aspects of it
As far as your '98 goes...they are decent cars in their own right. I drove a red coupe 5 speed a couple days ago. You could buy it for $5 grand right now.
I have to say there or some things I do not care for and the lower front valence is one of them. In fact from what I have seen I like the V6 front a little better. BUT, I can not say the car is a hunk of Crap. The interior is drop dead gorgeous and a lot of the exterior styling is really nice.
If you don't like it fine but don't get all play ground name calling about it.
GEEEEEZZZ

Grades on the changes:
Interior: A+ (With one sarcastic remark: thank goodness they finally gave all Mustang fans what they've been begging for over the last 4 decades ... adjustable color light up door jambs. Good grief.)
Side profile/hips: A
Front: C (the whisker/blinkers need to go - 1969 looked better than 1970 - no reason to copy/allude to the less attractive of the two years)
Rear: D+ (really close to getting it right, then Chris Bangle stopped by and convinced you to put needless/pointless angles in the tailights. There is enough plastic hanging off the bottom to build a Saturn VUE. Not sure I care for the back up lights being the separator between the tribars either. Grade would have been worse, but for the sequential blinkers and the concave rear panel which are both good).
Engine/Drivetrain: I (incomplete) (Where's the engine/HP upgrade? I can put a CAI on myself. Where is the 6-speed that every other car in this class has? I will give partial credit for the 3.73 gear option)
Suspension: I (and maybe that stands for IRS - not even an option? You don't really need it on the track, but on the street it sure does keep the drama down.)

DarkCandy08GT: Candy, Ford's Legal Department warned them to introduce the new Mustang a little at a time via their Mustang website. That way, no one would be exposed all at once to the dorkmeister turnsignals in the headlight bezels, the carnival-caliber taillights, the preposterous beveling of the rear fenders, the 'Seventies Citation rectangular HVAC vents, the "contemporAnus" restyling of the pony emblem, and cladding so dorky that even Pontiac would be embarrassed. Sheeeesh! I stole medications from the offices of my staff and swallowed every bottle I found--I even opened some of the bottles of medications before I swallowed them! I'm swilling NyQuil from a 55-gallon drum hoping to pass out before anyone posts more pics of the mess they made under the front bumper. If I can find the manuals for the corporate Lears, I'm gonna highjack one of those suckers to Rio and drag Hau Thai Tang bodily back to Dearborn. I've already faxed some schematics for guillotines across town to Prototyping, and I'll pick 'em up on my way back to Detroit from Rio. Desperate times call for desperate measures...

Your Words "dorkmeister turnsignals in the headlight bezels"

Nod to the Past
"carnival-caliber taillights"

Nod to the Past
"Seventies Citation rectangular HVAC vents"

digging the chevy avalanche like plastic trim peices everywhere.
(end sarcasm) Interior looks great. Hip is very good. That spoiler should have been on all the 05-09's as well. Not digging the wheels but that one's an easy aftermarket fix. camaro's gonna be tough competition for this, (if any of the muscle cars end up selling worth a darn with this economy).

I checked on my '69 and it does narrow at each light as well but it just a softer transition... So that is also a node to the front of the '69 however the transition is more stark and in your face... not bad but it will need to grow on me. Just a thought...

What do you guys see in that grabber blue? That has to be the ulgliest thing I have ever seen. Come on, it is bright baby blue like a cheap bright painted kids toy. I get chills every time I see it, not the good chills.
Sorry if I offend anyone... wait no I'm not, I am offended by that color!

But to each his own. I, for example, can't stand 99% light grey, silver, and gold cars.
I like it . I have driven a couple of Bullits and liked their performance and ride . I am seriously thinking about a future purchase .It has all the power I need and the ammenities I found lacking in my 05.

I had that exact car in college, a red '94, smashed the crap out of it and bought a '94 Mustang to replace it.
