2010 V6 dual exhaust

The only reason I would've waited for the '11 was the dual exhaust...

Will adding the Magnaflow dual catback system affect the Ford warranty?

Can I simply replace the rear facia with a GT facia to keep from cutting it (in other words, does it bolt up the same way)?

Not doing it for performance or trying to squeeze any mileage... just want the look, and maybe a bit more sound.

THE LOWER SECTION OF THE REAR FASCIA IS EASILY REPLACED. YOU CAN GET THE GT OR SHELBY GT500 PIECE S FROM YOUR FORD DEALER. IF YOUR WORRIED ABOUT WARRANTY,FRPP HAS A V6 DUAL EXHAUST KIT. UNLESS YOU HAVE A REALLY PETTY DEALER YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE ANY KIT YOU DESIRE . GO FOR IT!!!

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at the spendy Magnaflow kit (16575). I know folks that could do it for me 'from scratch', but I like the idea of 'no surprises'. Way I read it, this simply bolts on and no tuning or anything else is necessary. Me likes easy.

The only warranty that would be affected by a replacement exhaust is the warranty on the original exhaust.

www.newtakeoff.com offers a 2010 V6 true dual exhaust kit for about $300, probably has the rear valance for the duals too.

They use an 'amp' along with OEM mufflers? I don't know squat about cars (seriously), but that doesn't sound like a good thing to me. I ordered the Magnaflow. It's only money...

You can't go wrong with Magnaflow ... relatively easy install and 120k miles later still sounds just as good as day one (see my sig). 409 SS tubing is still real solid too !!

I'm confused. I hear about people putting dual exhaust on 2010 and earlier V6 Mustangs. How does waiting for a 2011 help if you are going to replace the exhaust anyway. So you only have to buy aftermarket mufflers and exhaust tips?

When I found out it was an easy deal to put the dual on a '10, there wasn't any reason for me to wait on the '11 because the new engine/power wasn't important to me. Some folks want the extra HP, so it's worth the wait for them.

I have the same magnaflow and have nothing but good things to say, my brother got his from ebay but I wanted a valid warranty(I have had problems with ebay sellers before) so I got it here. http://www.allexhaust.com/magnaflow/9791.html, or you can try one of the vendors here on the forum selling http://www.allexhaust.com/magnaflow, they are allways having sales/specials on the forums. It is nicely built and sounds great I think.

I dont know WTF you are talking about with an "amp." This kit from newtakeoff uses OEM axle-back mufflers from a GT, the piping that goes up over the axle tube and up to the cats, and an x-pipe that gets fitted to your existing mid-pipe (that needs to be cut). It does not include the lower dual exhaust valence from the GT however, that is a separate expense.

edit: after reading their site, it appears to be a typo. I'd be willing to bet they meant it to say "clamp" not "amp"

I had a 2006 V6 Premium that I added all kinds of aftermarket parts too from the GT and so on. I literally had people that worked at NTB asking me how I liked my GT - NO ONE could tell it was a V6 - even with the pony badges rather than the GT ones. I didn't want to make it too much of a poser, so I left those on there - haha

These are all the mods I had on it - cost me a couple grand, but was WELL worth it
Rear springs (2 inch drop - remove rake)
14" shorty antenna mod
Black/clear turn signals (front)
GT take-off dual exhaust & GT bumper
Ninosport dual exhaust conversion kit (y-pipe/cat-back)
GT take-off side skirts
S&B Cold Air Intake Kit
Apex Throttle Body Spacer

Does anybody here have experience with the 2010 V6 and the FRPP Power Upgrade Package? I certainly do like the way it sounds from clip they have on the FRPP site. How about the seat-of-the-pants experience? Do the 15 extra ponies amount to something you can really feel?
