Question Whos getting Comfort Package? Is it worth it?

$595 for Comfort Package? Is this worth it?

I would like to think so. I have kids I'll be toting in the back sometimes, and it probably would help on the passenger side, if the passenger seat could tweak out another inch or two so, using the 6 way seat...

Plus, too- it makes for a little bit of fun adjusting and tilting back, etc...

I was wondering what others think of the Comfort package and did you order it or not?

But still- $595 or $600?? It almost should be part of the Premium package

With kids involved, it might actually be safer to have the power passenger seat. I don't really know how the manual ones work on the new Mustangs, but all the manual seats I've dealt with in the past slide completely freely when adjusting, and since the Mustang seats can slide back far enough to interfere with legroom, you could more easily hurt someones leg when adjusting the seat. A nice slow powered adjustment gives the back seat occupant much more time to slap the front seat occupant across the head for starting to go back too far, and helps prevent accidental power slides to the back.

If you ever use heated seats when it is below freezing inside your car, you'll always have them in your future cars. As for the 6 way power passenger seat, it is well worth the price for me, for the rare occasion when my wife takes the wheel. A 2 way seat would be plenty for her, but I need ever one of those 6 ways to get comfortable.

I initially wanted it but thats a negative for me. Doesn't get below 50 where I live so the heated seats aren't necessary. $500 for just a power passenger seat was a little steep so I said screw it

I got it mostly for the heated seats but the power options are a nice touch. I think it's an expensive option no matter how you slice it though.

Skotty- you've hit the nail on the head. I wasnt going to order it, but this is a valid point. My wife is pretty rough, and always nails my kids legs when adjusting her seat back. This will prevent that from happening and thus, my kids legs, and my wifes comfort are to gain- also, it was icy cold here in Florida for a few weeks- and that would of been nice feature to have.

I went to the dealer to play around with it. The only thing it doesn't have is, lumbar support, like the drivers side does...

However, still- $600 is a lot of dough. Id rather put it towards performance mods..

Was never a fan of the heated seats and I'll be the only one in the car 75% of the time. The gf will set the passenger seat once and forget about it.

Spending that $$ for the comfort package just wasn't something I wanted to do.

I live in Texas so heated seats are just a good way to make my @$$ sweat. Sure, it gets cold during the winter but not so cold that the car isn't up to temp within just a few short minutes.

If the heated seats are the same as when they came out in 2007, they suck.

When I order one I probably will get the comfort package.

For those that don't have a need for heated seats, my GF's IS350 has cooled seats. It is the strangest feeling when you turn them on. I won't go into details but i'm sure some of you guys know what i'm talking about.

Heated seats are the best. Hate that my 2005 didn't have them.

To me heated seats weren't worth their cost even though it is cold here. My wife has them in her car and it is nice for the first 10 minutes but once the car warms up they are not a big improvement in comfort unless you have a sore back. The best argument is the one regarding kids in the back seat; luckily my youngest is 21!

Is the passenger seat 2-way powered in a standard premium?

I won't be driving my Mustang in the winter anyway, so I don't need heated seats. If it were a little cheaper and the passenger seat also had lumbar support, I might have ordered the Comfort Group. As is, I decided I could spend the $600 better elsewhere.
