Sorry bpmurr, Ford didn't Have a Huge Roll Out on National Television, and Internet Parties Simultaneously Linked All Across the Country for the 2005's unveiling. They didn't have a Dedicated Website revealing Bit's and Pieces of the Actual Production Car Every Week till it's unveiling.

They did have a pair of AWESOME Concepts touring the country a year or so before they unveiled it though, which we haven't had for the 2010. The closest thing we can call a concept for the 2010 is the Giugiaro Concept but that wasn't designed by Ford.

I know because I spent a Great Deal of Time back in 04, right here in these forums with a lot of other guys that are still here today, pouring over every little detail of every spy pic we got. Just like we all have for the 2010.
I'm not saying anything bad about the 05-09's, I Love Them too, But Trust Me, This Is A BIG DEAL!

Hilarious. but seriously. A camera for a Hummer, I understand, but a mustang? I know the back end has gotten huge, but come on? if you can't back up a mustang then you need to be on a bicycle not in a car. (i might even understand the member with the escape, but even that is pushing it)

Hey I agree completely but as we all made note of the camera for about a dozen posts I had to say something. I think if your driving a BMW or a Merc. then all the toys are fine but a muscle car is about PURE driving experience and I want n o nav. and minimal assist. Keep it clean and as light as possible.

As an Escape owner, I'd just like to say that if you need the assistance of a whiz-bang backup camera, then you need psychiatric care.

Ford had a lot more riding on the 2005's. They had invested a large sum of money in a new platform and powertrain.

Ford has done a good job marketing the 2010. I credit marketing guru Jim Farley.

I disagree. Well, actually, maybe I agree.

****, I really don't think you know what you're talking about.

Yes, yes, he does!

SHUT UP, DAVIS!

YEAH?! YOU FIRST!

I'll take two backup cameras please...and while you're at it, can you throw in some Thorazine as well?

I don't see what the big deal is about this camera. Is it standard or optional?

I agree that the Mustang is about the pure, sometiems raw (thinking of my FRPP-STINGERS) driving experience. However I say the more options the better. The original Mustang was known for it's wide array of available options so each owner could customize the car as they see fit. I personally would not order a camera or NAV for that matter but that doesn't mean nobody should get it if they wanted it.

BTW - I think the angle of the pic makes the camera hole look much more noticable than it will be in person. Also I'm a big fan of the clean spoiler delete look but I do like this new spoiler.

The funny thing is, I'd buy a 2010 Stang with the 4.6 depending on horsepower numbers. I'm working under the assumption that the 5.0 will be 400 HP, and if the 4.6 has 330-350 HP, then I think opening up the Steeda parts catalog would make up most, if not all, of the difference.

I'm thinking the same thing. I was hoping (like TampaBear) that the lenses would be concave also like on the '67-'68s.

It only takes a split second for a small child to run behind your car, which you wouldn't be able to see with your mirrors or turning around...not sure the big issue being made over a safety feature.

I know. And digging small children out of the tread of the rear tire is a real pain in the ***.

Honestly, I had a fender-bender while backing up, so a camera would be great.

Yeah I think the camera is a good thing. Its barely noticeable and could save a lot of money preventing any accidents and there would be nothing worse than messing up that nice new back end.
