You know, I'm not really a big fan of the '71-'73 Mustangs, but that hood looks awesome on the new S197!

Nice work Arin. I have a design in mind that also uses that hood. It looks great on the new body style.

I tried to match it to your car, its a little hard though. very unique color. It's not perfect but I hope it helps give the right idea..

and yeah, the thought occurred to me that many a vendor/company is going to go through this thread for ideas. it happens all the time. Just ask Doug...

thank you for my new screensaver! not sure it translates as well as the fox but **** i like different and that is definitely different. <--- that beer guy is a little spastic..lol..

i for one really like the black accents and think that a body colored trim would throw off the effect making the rear end look fat.

edit: arin you need to get a patent on that heat extractor because it is sweet, that would be an aftermarket hood i would buy!

I'm sure someones working on a heat extractor already, before I made the chop. Its just such a logical hood to have for a new mustang.

I'm just hoping someone makes that 71'73 ram air hood so I can have me one of those

the ram air hood does translate well in that picture but it is distorted giving it the longer 70's looking front end. have you done it on non distorted picture yet?

distorted?

the car or the hood? I hardly tweaked the hood at all to fit on the 2010 pic, and the rest of the car is unchanged

the car, not the chop on the hood. the car is stretched in the picture you altered giving it the appearance of a long front end. trick photography, effects like my brother does using his fish eye lens causing the distortion to my car in the picture you compared the colors to.

point being i wonder how the proper scale would look with the ram air hood, either way i am not questioning your chop skills

no worries i wasnt offended or anything, just confused as to what you meant lol

I'm still a bit onf the confused side though... because the picture i got the 71 hood from had the 71 oriented almost exactly the same as the stang. the biggest changes i made to the hood was a rotation (because the 2010 is on a slant) and i cut off a fair bit of the 71's hood to make it fit the shape of the 2010's better

maybe i just need more sleep lol

I also plan on doing it on a few other shots, but I just havent gotten to it yet.

I didn't really think the Bullitt would translate well with the new bodystyle, but after looking at that 'chop, I can kinda see it.

My little photoshop. I will have this done to my car if I get rid of my 05. Paint the plastic pieces, antenna delete, tint, and black chrome rims/black rims.
