But is this what you were going for?

Yeah, something along those lines.

Good Photoshop, but Ughhhhh In My Opinion That Looks Terrible! It Doesn't fit the Design of the Car At All. Too Rectangular and Big

The Original Looks Much Better To Me.

The biggest problem with that photoshop job is that it addressed the funky taillight shape (although his retangular version is too big) without fixing the lines of the rear bumper. It makes the back end look awkward like that...

edited for: Removed that stupid antenna and sat. antenna. Lowered plate. Adjusted bumper curve to the lights size.

Think with a blackout panel and smaller lights that there is a lot of potential for an aftermarket company to make some real money. Forgive the crumby edit of the picture.

Yeah, looks better, but something still doesn't look quite right about it... not sure what though..

But either way, I love that the taillights are no longer that funky shape anymore.

Good Try, it's Still a Good Photoshop but It's Still Just Not Right. It's Too Rectangular. Look at how close the top Outer Corners of the Lights are to the Edge of the Fenders. The Uniformity of the Bordering Sheet Metal is Lost.

Well considering I was taking ques from the 05-09's it's not that far off and mind you I'm not the best photochop artist here.

I will admit as I'm seeing more of the car it has grown on me more but still doesn't invoke the, "OMG, I MUST, NO I WILL have this Mustang" like when I first laid eyes on my 05'. Please, people at home and at work were tired of listening to me go on and on about it. No matter what it's still a MUSTANG

lmao @ Stangtroopers!

Modifying the license plate pocket similar to that FR500 is what I always thought would make the rear of the late SN-97's seem more refined looking. It's always small details like this that can make or break a design. Designers were so busy squaring of every corner of the 1994 design that they went too far and created a very crude clumsy plate pocket.

The license plate pocket of my 1999 Mustang was certainly an eye sore looking like it was designed to accommodate a giant plate. I could understand stretching it wide to accommodate Euro plates for export but the extra height AND the dip in the bumper was overkill. It was always an eyesore that you had to live with.
