Question 2010 Mustang Pace Car
With the reveal of the new mustang coming soon, I was wondering if there would be one pacing the field at the Ford 400 ?

Most likely the Shelby or the new SVT Raptor.

Just found out the answer to my question on another forum. The race will be paced by 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. So much for hopes of seeing an uncamoflaged stang before the LA reveal.

Can it even go fast enough to pace the race cars? or did they have to mod it for pace car duty?

Pace car only needs to do about 80 max, which should be no trouble at all.

From what I read the will use the hybird Fusion to lead the pack to the green flag and then they will use a 263HP sport model for the caution laps.
