Exclamation 2010 mustang HID lights caused electric problems

owner of a 2010 mustang v6

i was installing a xenon HID kit with ballasts as i reached in to install the last plug from the main HID LIGHT connector to the passenger stock headlight socket the hid lights turned on just fine after about 2 minutes the weirdest thing happened.

my car interior electronics shut off this includes

*stereo
*a.c
*power windows
*power locks
* remote didnt do anything at this point wouldnt respond at all
*lights didnt work, no turn signals nothing

the car turns on just fine like a champ but all the electric stuff inside and outside wont respond has anyone had a problem similar to this?

You should alway disconnect the battery when doing anything electrical on your car. Several circuts are active even with the ignition off. You may have blown a fuse....if you're lucky.
Try a battery disconnect for a few minutes and reconnect and check the fuses.

sounds like you shorted something at the SJB. hopefully just a fuse (or two).

I tried opening my car today with no luck it seems the key cant open it and the remote is not an option. Is their any way tonopen the trunk manually? Or how why it wont open the door with its own key

even if the battery were totally dead, you can still unlock the door with the key. however the one thing that wouldn't work is the auto glass open feature. so you just have to careful opening the door so as not to break the glass.

if the trunk won't open via the remote, you won't be able to get in that way.

good luck.
