2010 Mustang - Emergency Brake Issue
2010 Mustang - Emergency Brake Issue
SO I just bought a used 2010 Mustang GT and the emergency brake seems really loose. When I'm driving, if I set the cruise control then move my leg the emergency brake might get bumped slightly which causes the sensor to register braking which then knocks the car out of cruise control.
Is there a guide to tighten this so that I can't just bump it so easily? It really loose it seems. There is about 2 inches before the brake "catches" and starts to click when pulling up..
Any help will be greatly appreciated, I've done a little looking but not much found on this specific issue.

Welcome to the forum! My name is Deysha with Ford Service. Was this taken care of for you? I recommend you speak to the service manager at your Ford Dealer, as he is in the best position to look into this for you and can check into any warranty, assistance, recalls, or customer satisfaction programs that may apply to your vehicle.
Also, remember most repairs done at a Ford Dealer come with a 24 months/unlimited miles warranty. You can schedule an appointment online here.
