2010 gt vs 2011 v6 vid

GT is a bit quicker. V6 holds its own tho. Both appear to be auto.
Check it out. Amateur vid but nicely put together, not too choppy.

Not one bit surprised. I like that they had 3 separate runs and that they were consistent.

cool video ... Looks like they were both Automatics which mostly took the driver out of the equation ... it appears the male GT driver was also heavier than the female V6 driver ...

The 2011 6-speed automatic is geared a lot more aggressively than the 2010 5-speed automatic, right? I believe a 10GT with manual transmission would pull even more on it.

Impressive none the less!

Did a little research on these. The 2010 GT has the stock 3.31 and the V6 has the stock 2.73, FWIW.

the vid says that the v8 won by 1 car length. Um that more like 2.5 cars.. and the stated MPG numbers are also off. The GT is more like 25 + on the highway as compared to the v6's 31 on the highway

Good video thanks for posting!

It's about what I expected, but the V6 does get a little better mileage....

I still gotta have the V8, but the new V6 is a lot better then the 4.0 liter V6 it replaces....

The V6 driver was also better looking.

I'm sending this video to a few gearhead friends who keep snickering about me getting a well optioned V6 over a base GT.

If the V6 only had 2.73 rear I am VERY impressed.

Nice test. GT was running out of steam up top. They are slow 100+.

Ok, it's confirmed by the dealer that the GT had the 3.31 and the V6 had the 2.73. They gave me the VINs on YouTube.

I'd like to see that test done with a Manual Tranny. The GT was probably in O/D at the end ...

Is the GT carrying the driver plus a videographer? Versus just a driver in the V6?

In the last race, yes. In the first two, the "videographer" is in the V6.

Looks like Race 2 had somebody video taping in the V6 and then taping in the GT in Race 3.
