Nice. I've always liked the GT500 front better than the regular GT front. I'm not sure I would be putting the Shelby badges on the car though, even though I like them a lot.

Looking good Lexion. I admit i prefer your previous wheels though. I wouldn't badge it incorrectly either but to each their own. Its beautiful and makes you happy so thats what matters. What stripes are you going with?

The previous wheels are my winter tires
I will go with silver stripes, to match my seats.

On the badging: I do understand all of your concerns. However, this car is inside out, a 100% retrofit. So no you can't distinguish it from a real one. Not even a bit... the only thing that reveals the truth is the VIN (oh and currently the engine)

The engine swap is in works and will be done, once I got all the parts together.. the parts are already piling up (transmission, wiring, pcm, cooling stuff etc)...

I have always liked the dark red shelby models i've seen. Gorgeous cars. Are you putting in a 5.8 trinity?

Yes.... Candy Red is awesome, however they all come with white stripes. I think silver just looks soo much better with Candy Red

That's the plan... if I can't get one cheap, then a 5.4....

Your car looks awesome man. Great work. Makes me wonder though why you didnt opt for the shelby to begin with.

I was really close. But then my wife said:
If you go out and buy one, what will you do with all your time? The only thing you will do is clean it...

So because I love working on it, I decided to built it myself ...

Almost done, considering it looked like this when I bought it

wow, you're really close to an actual GT500. I retract my statement about the badges! I hadn't seen your interior pics yet.
What's the plan an the engine? You're also really going to swap it? Or just add a blower to it and call it a day?

No - A real swap. I already had a TVS on this, so this time a 5.8/5.4

Yeah, I'm sure. Wear them cobra badges, and be proud of them. Wow, and you're converting a 2011/2012? Not an easy job I guess.
Well done!

Do you have a thread on here describing your build? I'm truly impressed, and would like to see your progress.
