I'm going to have to disagree with you. I love the 2015 Mustang. I actually like it better than my 2011 GT. It's so much more refined and advanced than the S197. The S550 makes our Mustangs look like ancient technology.
With the exception of the gross basic font on the '15 gauge cluster that looks like it came out of a car from 30 years ago, I'll concede that the '15 interior is nicer than ours - though I absolutely love the interior in my '14 anyway, so I don't really lose any sleep over it.
Problem with buying the front end of a body style is that the option packages etc. always get better with each newer year making the early ones look crappy. Next year I'm sure the auto + PP will be available, and I'm sure in time the chrome trim on the taillights on the 50 years cars and the louvered quarter windows on the LE will find their way into every S550. Then add direct injection, etc., and the later refreshed cars are going to be sweet.

I'm sure from a refinement and performance standpoint they are on par or better, but as far as looks I just see potential at this point. Jazz up the rear just a little, and rework the sheet metal from the cowl forward, and do something better with the lower front fenders and sideskirts and I could see myself loving the car after a significant refresh, much like how I never cared for '05'09 cars but once the substantial '10+ refresh hit the dealers I was in love. I think what I don't like from the side view is how the fenders rise up towards the back, then the quarters lower back down before the rear wheels. Makes it look lean, sure, but something about it doesn't look right, like its wearing a corset or something.

The catfish mouth/grille that mimics the shelby just does not work unless it has that Shelby front bumper with big lower intake and large circular fog light housings near the side markers. Although i like the hood vents, the shape of the hood follows the catfish mouth which i dislike. Overall, the catfish mouth makes the car appear less aggressive, and based on principles of visual and spatial proportion the car looks more narrow with the rounded center grille gauging outward.
The rear in my opinion they made look cheap with the 2013 tails, it looks more plasticy with the lights off and the added decklid panel.
I feel the 2010s to 2012 look more like muscle cars, and have that clean cut, sheet metal look to them with less plastic crap.
Posting this again because it deserves it

I would point out though that the 2013-2014 V6 compared to the 2010-2012 V6 has a better front end in my opinion. I may be biased though haha. The 2010-2012 V6 wasn't very aggressive compared to the GT models unless it was modified.
In other news. I just placed my order for some 20" Staggered Boss 338s
I can't wait!

WTF? When did this thread become "which year looks better?"
It's all about the latest pics of ALL our cars, so more pics less talk, capeesh?

Couldn't agree more, Gabe. I like everything I see here, some more than others perhaps, but I dig all of 'em.
Keep those cards and letters coming folks.

We all have opinions and different taste, so I never understand the "mine is better than yours" mentality when it comes to cars! I have had a '68, 01, '05, '06 and now '13 and loved them all! I don't really care for the mid 70's through 80's Stang's or the new one so far... Not my cup of tea. But for those that do love them, awesome! Because of those people, we have had Mustang's continually since 1965! And that benfits us all!

I just looked up what you are talking about and he is selling his with tires for $1600 and I picked up a brand new set with Nitto NT555 tires with TPMS for the same, shipped. I think I will be happy with the deal I am so excited!

Yes autocross is the best fun with a street car! I did some last summer, in 46 celsius heat. tires were sticky to say the least!
