Definitely overreacting. There are red flag situations of course, parking lots with small spaces, grocery stores (places where people have their hands full trying to open doors, not to mention carts), in general it's better to be willing to walk and find a spot bordered by an island, barrier, etc on at least one side. And look for other nice cars to park next to, don't park next to mini-vans. If I was driving a mini-van I wouldn't give a f*ck if it was dinged.

If I were driving a minivan I would hope someone would shoot me and take me out of my misery....
