Again, I'm sorry if you're feeling regret - and don't mean to make you feel worse, but can you tell me why you decided to trade in the Lava Red Mustang? It's such a cool color and gets so many complements. I'm just curious if something really caught your eye about the Challenger.

I was perfectly happy with my '10 V6 and wasn't even shopping... but I was at Ford picking up some paperwork regarding my wife's new Escape and stopped to have a smoke before leaving. Always loved the black Mustangs and saw one on the used lot... so I walked over there to look. Killing time. Got over there and it wasn't black after all. I'd managed to stay out of any GT until that... but I had to drive THAT one. 7,500 miles... certified pre-owned... Roush axleback... clean clean clean... finger 'wear' marks on the trim from closing the door, just like mine. Said it before... I wasn't even out of second gear and that car was sold.

I LOVED that car... but after a year in that and two and a half in the '10, I was bored. And even tho I had the only Lava that I knew of locally, it was one of probably 18,000 late model Mustangs in San Antonio. Nuthin' special other than the color. The more I saw of the Challenger the more I liked the body style, so dropped by the Dodge store one day after work... and here I am.

Obviously the Challenger 6 cyl is waaaay less car than the 5.0, but I never drove the Mustang hard anyway. The Challenger Redline has some upgrades that come on the R/T (suspension/brakes I think), so I guess it's a 'tweener'. Very nice ride, good seats. Wife will actually ride in this and says we can take it on trips. I was very comfortable in the Mustang, but she wasn't.

If I could do it over, I might not. But maybe. I miss the sound of the Mustang every day. I like driving a manual, but I don't miss shifting gears not even a little bit. Maybe if Ford doesn't wreck the redesign I'll look at the '16 or '17.

So... long answer shorter... I traded it for no good reason. Pretty much the same reason I traded my '08 Fusion, '10 Taurus, '10 Mustang... you get the idea. It's a sickness.
