So to combat this, Ford delayed the release of the 5.0 by one model year to try to give engineers time to find a solution. Unfortunately, they couldn't. So we soldier on without the metallic, but we find we don't need it, having the fastest color is good enough.

Danielle - you are confused, and I understand why.
Gotta Have it Green Metallic Tri-Coat is by FAR the fastest color. Ford was able to keep the metallic paint, it just moved over to Green instead

Kyle, those pictures are really great. The '67 is a beautiful car. I get a crowd around my car pretty often and it's always a blast to see people's faces when they look under the hood or sit behind the wheel. Had a boy ask his dad once, "dad, is this a real GT500? This car is so cool!!" Always fun to watch people around the car.
