14 HID Headlights keep getting me flashed.
But not in the good way. I have a 14 GT Premium with the HID headlights and everytime I'm out at night or early morning with my low beams on I keep getting brights flashed at me by oncoming vehicles. Apparently the HID low beams are very bright and must confuse people that I have my brights on. Does anyone with a 13-14 GT Premium have an issue with this also? Thanks for any feedback.

I get flashed a lot when I have both my lows and my fogs on, but I live out in the country with lots of deer and critters, so I wants as much light output as possible when Im out driving. When they flash me, I flash them with my highs.

Yes! I've get flashed A LOT whenever I'm out at night. Even worse when I turn on the fogs - maybe 20% of ppl I pass.
I'm hoping the headlights will shine downward a bit when I lower the car.

Happened to me a few times with the low beam in my 2014 GT. Then I flash them back with my high beams and they stop complaining. People do seem to confuse the HIDs for high beam.

I get it when I have the fogs on at the same time as low beams.
I also get it in my F250, Ford trucks seem to have some of the brightest halogen headlights of any vehicle on the road.
Price you pay for having such bright headlights I guess.

i have had the same issue with fogs n Headlight operating. but after i lowered my car.. no one has ever did it yet.. so might be headlight beam needs to aligned. i think they can be done.. need to look up in Operation manual.

Any light that helps you see better and farther will cause problems for oncoming drivers. There's no getting around it. Adjusting the beam only reduces your vision of the road you're on--nullifying the brighter headlights you paid for and making the road more dangerous for you. I've driven past people with their brights on, and I focus on the right side of my lane when they drive by. Keeps me on the road and preserves my vision.

What people don't realize is if you run your fogs with your headlight, the fogs will turn off when you HAVE your brights on.....I have been flashed numerous times in all of our vehicles.....this is why I always run the fogs at night. Any person with some brains might correlate the two and realize that the fogs turn off with the brights on..
But no....

1 year of ownership and I've never been flashed. I've looked at the lights myself and don't see why anyone would flash me. I can stare directly into them and I'm extremely sensitive to headlights. It's like staring into a crystal ball

I do quite a bit of early morning driving from Orlando to Tampa; about 5:00 AM, I got pulled by a Lakeland police officer, not for speeding, but instead she told me I was driving with my high beams on. I told her the fogs were on. I had to prove to her that the grill lights were fogs, and when I operated the high beams, she then sort of believed me. She told me to "be polite" to oncoming drivers, and turn off the "fogs" with approaching traffic.
I do not.
