I was in the same boat as you recently. Which exhaust to get? Don't want no raspy popping crud, no weak knee'd efforts either. I wanted loud, deep rumbly and mean NASCAR muscle. The real deal! So after weeks of checking out some pretty cool options on YouTube I settled on the Roush axleback and after I got it installed I knew I'd found my 5.0s true voice. You won't be sorry and you won't be saying, "Gee I wish it was a little meaner and louder". That's for sure cause the Roush AB is perfection!!

Is it difficult to remove the resonators? I was thinking I may have my dealer install the exhaust anyway as I don't have jack stands and I want to ensure the alignment is good.

Cut and weld to remove the resonators, you have to cut them out and put a piece of pipe in their place.

Dealer probably wouldn't want to fool with removing the resonators, I'd run it before taking them out in case you like them.

Roush axleback vs GT 500 AB net diff of $175 (AM pricing). preference is equally weighed in the forum. can anyone who have installed or swapped both help me understand the difference of the both. thanks in advance.

It's the difference in winning and losing jk, I love GT 500's, haven't heard the roush axle backs in person so I can't speak for them. You can't really go wrong either way, the 5.0 sounds great.

Orrrr... Save money now and buy borlas. It saves money because in a few months, you'll want something a tad louder and better . Just saving you $$$ and have you avoid what I went through

I feel like if I was 10-15 years younger or lived in a different neighborhood, I would've gone with the Roush's or something louder.

For me the GT500's felt "age appropriate" and won't have my neighbors pissed off when I leave for work at 4 am!
