The 1/4 Mile Thread
The 1/4 Mile Thread
There have been many discussions on the track times in different review threads, so I set out to put it all together and average it out for discussion purposes. Well what I found was after reading every review, the only two that actually put the car to the pavement were MT and C/D, all others were estimated. So here are these results. I'll update the thread as more come in.
Further, lets compare to historical data. For anyone who hasn't seen it, this site is absolutely great.

Its a good read for any gearhead. They basically took all kinds historical data on drag strip cars, put them on a graph, and saw what sort of correlation they followed. We all know lower pounds per horsepower = better ET, but this guy took it to the next level.
Anyway, if you use his "LRT Formulas", you'll see the expected ET for a 3600lb car with 412 hp is 12.8 @ 111. Right on the MT review.
Also, if you work backwards, put in the weight and mph/ET from the Car and Driver review, it shows the HP should be around 375. Sounds to me like they were sandbagging it.
Code:
-- MotorTrend -- -- 3.73s, Brembos -- 435hp / 404 lb-ft (at crank, estimated) 378hp / 351 lb-ft (at wheels) 0-60 @ 4.3 12.8 @ 110 mph -- Car And Driver -- -- 3.73s, Brembos -- 0-60 @ 4.6 13.2 @ 109 mph -- InsideLine -- 395hp / 365 lb-ft (at wheels)

For some reason I can't edit the original post... but here are some more numbers coming in...
