Chaz, your right it has almost a greeny tinge to it...
Believe me though..its blue
The studio shots look like the colour when its darker.
I love the way it changes colour, and its a deeper/richer colour than I thought it would be (which is good...cause thats what I was hoping for)
Seemed that a lot of pics were depicting it as a bright dry baby blue in the sun....NOT SO!

It looks darker than any Windveil Mustang pic I've seen, and also appears to be tinted green just a little bit, more towards "metallic aqua" (particularly the first pic).
Nothing personal Boomer, but I'm going to write all of that off as your digital camera. Quite a few consumer digital cameras will be off just a little as far as color is concerned. Remember those outdoor pics of a Windveil GT someone had on here? It was outside, but under a tent in the shade...and it looked much brighter than that Taurus. OR, it could just be the shapeless lump of car that is the Taurus...that formless blob that doesn't have many flat surfaces to reflect light and brighten the color. Maybe that's it.

Here is one of the outdoor Windveil GT pics I was talking about earlier:
Here is a crop from that same photo, compared side-by-side with a crop from your photo:
I'm not doubting what you saw in person. I just don't think your camera is translating the color very well. Especially since all the other Windveil pics we've seen before today pretty much agreed with one another.

I would be wary of trusting *any* picture you see online. Not only are you at the mercy of the digital camera, but also your own monitor, both of which can have a huge impact on color. If you really want to see Windveil Blue, go out and find a 2005 Taurus to see in person.

What'd I tell you...the colour shifts.
They are all correct...
What you see in my pic...is what i saw yesterday.
Under these circumstances.
Clear blue sky, sun at 6:30pm very bright out.
THe shots under the tent to not surprise me either, thats a good representation in the shade..
NOW...look at this pic...same digital, same settings...under the skydome VERY dim lights (lights starting to come up)
It looks more silver than anything.
Thats why I LOVE this colour, it has so many shades....

Looks like Windveil grey green to me. Looks NOTHING like the studio shots.

Thanks for the information on the 05 Taurus. WB is my first choice of colors for the mustang. I have been wanting to see it first before ordering the car. I will go to the ford dealership this weekend to see if they have a WB taurus and see the color up close and not on the computer screen. I too like the color because it closely resembles the baby blue color of the 65. All they need now is a white leather interior to go with the lite blue color.

I think Boomer is confusing everyone. Pete, I think you could have posted "WB is awesome. The different shades look great when light conditions change". I think you just sent about a dozen people over to redfire. Thanks a lot man. :bang:

hahah.... thats funny...
I was sayin to Galaxie...with the redfire cars on tour...
Redfire is warn out, before it even got started
c:
Yes, as what Dan said...is pretty much my thoughts.
I guess my point was also, that you could see the colour for yourself on the 05 Taurus (and believe me...it looks gravy on the 05 Stang)

In regard to color selection, it may be helpful to go down to your local Ford dealer and ask to see the color samples which are in the 3 ring binder covering the 2005 Mustang. These samples are 4" X 4" (or something like that) and are acurate representations of the colors to be offered. They might even let you take the 3 ring binder outside and look at the colors in the sunlight.

I don't like every tom weiner and harry being shown redfire.....cause they'll buy it, but Ford used it on the show car for a reason. We have good taste.

Redfire looks nice, but you will hate it when 30% of the cars are the same color as your, and remember the showcar you saw in T.O. was windveil :P
