Donna already posted all the info but here it is in a spreadsheet. You can select whatever filter you like on the top row.

To answer your question, there were 4132 2005 WBlue GTs. 2002 of which were autos and 2130 were manuals.

Of the 4132, 3308 were coupes.

 

Does any one have a breakdown like this for the 2006 model year?

Yes, I do. I think any car that lasts that long and is still running will be considered a classic to someone. Also, considering the way cars are treated nowadays by so many people as almost disposable (use it up and get rid of it in 5 years) I think the ones that are left will be sought after.

On the other hand, if you follow the political state of affairs at all, you might be pessimistic and think that in 30 years the world will be such a different place that people will have realigned their priorities so much that us old car fanatics will be seen as nutcases or worse. Or the environmentalists will have had their way so completely that gasoline won't even be available to run it anyway.

I figure, I love this car, and I'm glad I got it now. I think it would be great to work on it with my little boy as he grows up and teach him about engines and stuff. And if someday it's a classic, great. But, if you are buying a car today to be a classic in thirty years, it's as much of a gamble as buying stocks and bonds.
