I got to thinking how weak the 06 color slection is when according to a poll the majority of folks are ordering Tungsten, a color most people have never seen!, (including me), I am in the painting biz, so I called my PPG supplier and asked if he has the 06 formulas yet, he did, so I ask if tungsten is on there, it is, I had him mix me up a pint so I could paint out a sample.

I was kinda worried when I changed my 05 MG order to an 06GT with Tungsten,

Well I really like the color!, it is a nice graphite with subtle hints of blue and red in it, the flake is a nice medium with good sparkle to it, it looks great in the sun!! and I cant wait to see it on a car when they start showing up, this is going to be a very popular color!

I ordered in Jan. and didnt make the cut, I am told I am on the top of the 06 pile for this dealer.

Tungsten Gray is the exact paint code/colour as Titanium on the show car, as far as a I know....
so its not exactly that you don't have any idea what it will look like... at least in pics.
Up close, unless you saw the show car..then yes....I see what your sayin'

I have heard that, but I have only seen the concept car in pics and thought that was a decent color when I saw it some time ago.

OK so you got the paint mixed up, so what is the paint code

My dealer told me it was a colour previously used on the Ford Taurus and then proceeded to bring one around to look at. I wasnt too sure as the car was filthy and I wasnt even sure if that was the colour but I could check if I had the code

I think Tungsten with Blue stripes might be a good combo.
