Nice car. Enjoy it.

Yay im finally not being flamed!
Thanks man!<!--QuoteBegin-dmon2000@July 26, 2005, 8:15 AM
Don't know if it was asked, but what shade of blue is the stripe itself? I heard some that were thinking of doing the Vista Blue stripes on the Sonic Blue. Great looking car Chris!!!
Dmon the shade of blue appears to be a little lighter than Sonic Blue itself. I don't know exactly what it is, and I don't know if the designer of my car wants me to give out the info, (oh what the heck, I'll say it,) but the technique is painting stripes onto the car, then SANDING the actual paint, then applying clearcoat. shouldn't have said that...
JK, ENJOY!

Great car Chris!
I am leaning more and more to checking in about putting ghost stripes on mine when I get it. I have always liked the SS kit the most out of what is available. I remember at one time they were working on side mirrors you could paint as well. Not sure what happened with those but you and adrenalin might want to check with them before trying to paint the textured OEM ones.

Well, I finally got what I really wanted: my second set of mods. True, I'm about broke right now (
), but the car is even more amazing than it was before.
Borla Axle-Backs
Pioneer AVIC-D1 Navigation System
Street Scene Lower Speed Grille
Got these done at Galpin's Auto Shop, they were a great help, especially Jason Ewing.
BOOMER! I LOVE the borlas!

I'M BACK WITH PICS AND A VIDEO!!!
GhostGT with Borlas!
Okay here we go...
First off, the Borlas:

.
.
.
Then we've got the Pioneer AVIC-D1 Navigation System (ignore the cut portion around the frame, that is going to be replaced...)

.
.
.
And last but not least, the Street Scene Speed Grille...

Some people requested pictures of my ghost stripes...so here's a medley of it all!

..........
..........
..........
AND FINALLY! I filmed a short and QUICK video of my Borlas. I took a drive around my neighborhood, so I couldn't make much noise. As you can hear, however, they are loud as heck!
GhostGT with Borlas!
I want to thank Dan and Boomer for convincing me to get these exhausts...they are so awesome, I can't find enough words to explain em. GREATEST SOUND!
Also, thanks to Rich (SurfnSoCal) for hosting this video for me.
Hope you guys enjoy!!!

How is the drone on the borlas at highway?
Its obviously there, but doesn't bother me ONE bit. HOnestly, if someone is too worried about the droning, they should press the O/D button on their shifter, or just shift down one gear to get rid of it. I personally like droning. It tells me my car is alive and going well.
Its not a BAD drone..its just annoying if you like riding in that portion of the RPM band in 5th (ie: Speed limit is 100km/h, and the drone is from 90-110...so I stay just above it...)
The exhaust itself is a mean sounding exhaust, and gets darn loud when flooring it WOT....It sounds decently loud idling, but when you get on it...YOWZA...

I want to get someone to just floor my car on my street while I stand in back of it.
Don't know how it actually sounds.

I do a LOT of miles on the highway. My previous vehicle had a annoying drone at 70mph that would put you to sleep on my normal weekly trip ( 250 miles at night ) -- I'm wondering if the drone at this speed is healthy and meaty, or akin to whitenoise and will put me to sleep within 10 minutes. Is it cabin shaking resonance, etc.
Oh..its a beefy drone...
Its a rumble that resonates througout the cabin...
Its more if you floor it in low RPMs at that speed.
You could just downshift, speed up, get through that 'drone zone'
It only REALLY bugs me sometimes on the highway when I can't have the window down a crack.
having the windows down eliminates it (which is what I had all summer)
This will keep you up...not put you to sleep
Oh and as to the WOT sound.
Dan and I have the same exhaust..so every now and again we'll meet up and take turns taking off from a light or on the highway or what have you... and MAN....
You NEED to hear these outside the car...
THEY ARE WAY LOUDER than you think.
They sound nice inside the car, but outside...... whooooole different ballgame....

Likely because Ontario is significantly cooler than Tampa, aka, you'll freeze your **** off.
But, you talked me into it. After the next couple paychecks I'll pick up the FRPP versions. I'll be buying a Passport 8500 first, however, for the obvious reasons
